Electrical connections tutorial

So as I’m getting more experience with building lights and running electrical, I’m noticing there are a lot of different techniques for making electrical connections. I want to make my builds look as clean and professional as possible. So wanted to see, is there a good tutorial out there or are there resources you all use(d) to educate yourself on the different ways to make connections and how to make them safe and clean looking?

To give an example of what I’m talking about, before I built my solstrip light, I didnt even know about lever nuts and I saw them being used on a few OG builds so I started using them. But things like solder connections, heat shrink, etc. I’m trying to learn more about because it would make those builds even cleaner.

The hardest thing about heat shrink tubing is remembering to put it on before making the connection… I dont know how many times I’ve had to redo my connections because i forget the damn stuff

Or it ends up to close to the joint and the heat travels up the wire and shrinks the end so you can’t slide it over the joint lol
