They will be fine one extra day. If anything the pot drying will help increase the trichome production. Go enjoy yourself

Rainbow kush pulled out for another dusting. A very mild one cos that’s what was there lol. Circulation fan motor burnt out. So added a 4" extraction fan for circulation purposes for the time being. Gonna stick this Lil lady back in the dark until 9pm spray her down and put her back in

I set my thermostat to run at 13c at lights out. Can do that for a couple days to try and stimulate some anthocyanins and get some colour. Rainbow kush was from cut and does seem to be a little further along than the tangie. I’ve got them down for an 11th January chop but will see how we go. What’s the usual timescales for seeded plants to ripen up? Definitely got a nice few fat seeds growing. Wondering if the harvest is any different than pulling a bud

You can just let them go until the seeds start to fall out of the buds if you want mate. With mine though I just chopped them when they were ripe like you normally would. Wet trimmed as normal and dried them out for a few days. I then went through each bud removing the seeds. It’s a total PITA

Given the nature of the project. Up on my birthday and down on the 29th January might be the way to go.
I was gonna full plant hang after chop and leave for a while. I had a feeling picking them out would be a ballache. Surely be worth it. Been doing some reading on breeding and watching videos. There’s some work before I can call it an actual strain isn’t there.
Do I carry on with the regular crosses or do I go the s1 route when I find a good pheno and go from there. Much deeper rabbit hole than I expected this

I just made my fems as I’m a tight arse that thinks feminized seed prices are a rip off. I chose two equally potent, high yielding short in both height and bloom time growing strains and crossed them together. I’ve never put any thought into pheno hunting and stuff like that.

To be honest I think the pheno hunting should have started with the parents. You find a pheno of each that has traits you like for whatever reasons and then make your seeds from the two you chose

To be fair mate the mother has been up a while now. And the father had a nice flower pattern. The other 2 spindly and skinny ones were fucked off. I wish I had the facilities to pheno hunt in large enough numbers but my bigger space is for my smoking. Cos I do a lot of that not much I can do till this seed run is out the way lol

Certainly won’t object to that. I might get another regular run in. And see if I can find a “keeper” male too. If we can broaden the genetic pool available even slightly should help get better results
