pmā€™s right away please and then i will work tonight to reconcile my seed list and start organizing packages to be shipped out. iā€™ll also have to review postage rates as i want these packages to make it, but i donā€™t want to be dropping off a dozen envelopes to the postal person with strange contents in them that might flag something.

Ur best stamping em up and dropping into a mail drop somewhere, then they get the whole pile sent off to machine sorting and ur postal ppl will be nonethewiser

I also just tell the staff Iā€™m part of heirloom veggie groups across the world and we share our varieties lol

yea, thatā€™s why i was asking about postage. so far iā€™ve gone to the post office with one or two letters at the most to be mailed, just to see what the average rate is and itā€™s been sort of all over the place (aside from some of them giving me the third degree). thanks for your postage response earlier, AzSea.

i tell them theyā€™re handmade trinkets, but still some of them squawk about that damn customs form and merchandise in the mail.

With international and Canada the only thing that doesnā€™t have customs forms are letter mailings

Discreet is your best friend

Got this at the 99cent store for a buck and a single sheet of paper folded in half with the flips in the middle and stapled to the paper so they donā€™t slide and stack in between mail machine smashings, if u trim the flips and cut out a paper the size of the envelope u can fit 6 in there stapled to the paper and wrapped in one more sheet and double envelopes and still be under an oz. All my mailings go out in these now and can comfortably put a usa or international stamp depending on USA or rest of the world and drop in the outgoing mail drop without talking to staff except for buying stamps

Looks like it was a fun night! Damn it for being busy. Not a bad thing though. Prepping spots for my outdoor coming up.

yes, this response is fantastic AzSea. alsoā€¦

i find that those standard cardboard flips are bigger than they need to be, since the extra cardboard doesnā€™t really do anything. i believe itā€™s the washers that are providing the support against any rollers. so definitely cut those flips down to save on space/weight.

People have had issues with staples tearing the envelopes as they go through the rollersā€¦ probably works better to tape them to the paper. Otherwise, A+ suggestion.

Yes tape is prob better for long distance, with the 100 I prob mailed in the last month or so I havenā€™t had issues yet with staples but very possible to happen, thatā€™s why I wrap in paper to cushion the staples though
