Free Seeds & Free Clones Thread Vol. 3

Yeah, whatever it is I am guessing is serious just by the way it took him completely out in 1 day. No food, no water, no bathroom, no moving. His trip in yesterday was just over a grand. That was for 4 separate injections, an exam, x-rays and full blood workup. The problem is there is just no alternative in my mind. He is one of the Dawson family, he will get whatever he needs.

My former dog “Sponge”; a long-haired Dachsund that lived to 18 years 3 months; he was with me everywhere, including work. His attitude was that of a lazy cat meets a furry-meat-sack.

At 9 he got cancer and took 2 years to beat it.
At 11 he got pancreatitis and was rushed to the vet and on drip over night…
At 13 he got pancreatitis AGAIN and same deal.
At 15 his teeth started to bother him and I bought a magic bullet to make him smoothies to lick up.
At 17 he got a seeping wound on his face and I cleaned and cared for it 4-5 times a day for the weeks it took to heal.
He was blind and had doggie dementia by the time he went to lay down for his final nap and crossed the rainbow bridge.

I would do it all over again.

Rest in peace little buddy. It’s a tough road to hoe bud. My last dog Max was just amazing and did everything with me as well.

Thank you bro that really touched me on another level. My Shih Tzu “Fluffy” passed in 2018. May they all rest in Dog Paradise, I just gave my Husky a big hug, love that dog (despite all his craziness) :slightly_smiling_face:

18 year old cocker spaniel was my bud it’s like loosing a family member after that many years . I still wake up thinking she’s still around. In spirit I sometimes feel she’s sleeping in her bed on the floor beside me . Strange how pets can effect ya.

@DougDawson , @Oldtimerunderground .

After a few years, the house felt too empty and we decided to look into adopting a rescue. My parter and I are blessed to have adopted a rescue from Texas in Feb before the pandemic took over here. Her name is Celia, and she’s a grunty-meat-pig. of a doggo! Super anxious and packed with trauma so she’s in the right home. She was adopted twice, and a returned twice because everyone SAW a Dachsund and NO ONE THOUGH “what else is in this mutt?”.

Well, I’ll tell you there’s at least 3 things we’re guessing with our vets assistance:

  1. Dachsund
  2. Black Labrador
  3. Patterdale Terrier

Our heart hurts thinking that she may have been bred as a pit fighting dog (the one that’s supposed to loose but put up a fight) but she’s so full of love once she found her pack that everytime I come home she looses her shit bouncing and I’m okay with cleaning up her pee from the excitement.

This little guy is my Buddy and has become part of the family. I think Mrs Foreigner likes him better than she does me

Here’s my little buddy Winston. He was injured by a bulldog a few years ago. He is partially crippled in his back legs, has little control of his body functions and has to be helped every time. But he is my buddy and he still plays and has a good time. He is only five so, hopefully, he’ll be with us a long time.

BTW. I’m not knocking Bulldogs.

Say hello to my other sidekick.
He’s not the one that hurt Winston.

So apparently Tigger has severe Pancreatitis. A normal reading is 3.5, he is at 40. Just rushed him into the hospital so they can push IV fluids. #@&#@@&#**@@**@

Really sorry to hear that man. Hopefully this is just a little hiccup and you get to eventually jokingly tell him “you scared me you little bastard!” in the near future when he’s back to normal.

Am sorry to hear that a member of your fam is unwell Doug.

We’re all pulling for Tigger!

Big Furry sends love from the sprinkler he’s playing in!

I just realized I’m almost 380 years old in dog years.

Nothing to do but wait so gonna get back to work and try to not dwell. I really dont idle well. Will pick him up at 7pm when the vet closes and than back in the morning is the plan. Thanks for all the positive vibes, they really do help.
