I have a bunch of birch behind me, I want to buy some taps and make birch syrup next spring. If you’ve never had it, it’s amazing. Black walnut is amazing too

I wish. I think I’m close to 75 or so varieties but most have 8 or less beans. But my stash box does need to grow a tad. Briefcase sound perfect.

I’ve never had it but it sounds like it would be amazing to cook with! Need to find me some birch syrup.
I’ve had black walnut before but never knew you can tap the tree for syrup!

lol j/k I have a decent variety, lots of room for more though. Could always just throw cuts in the breeding tent, lol, but that’s reserved for the next few months

Lol. Im so lazy about shaving. I think the last time I used a straight razor was over 20 years ago now. Definitely have cut it off, but not so close I’d call it a shave.

Don’t fall for it! He hits people up for seeds all the time and then sends me short videos where he just shows his hand throwing envelopes of seeds into his trash can unopened. He gets some sick joy from it. Surely he is nature’s greatest monster!

It has way lower sugar content, so it yields way less syrup. I can’t remember why but they can’t sell it here, so you can get it by making it or gifting lol. My buddies dad gave me a half pint a few years ago and said that was like 40 gallons of sap or something crazy, I remember it was delicious though. Super dark and strong. Like comparing wildflower honey to buckwheat honey.
