In Brazil they probably don’t call Brazil nuts Brazil nuts (I got this from The Rundown)

They can be, although the usual name is ‘castanhas do Pará’ (Pará is a Northern state where the nuts are produced). Wikipedia brings the alternative names above, including castanha do Brasil, a literal translation of ‘Brazil nut’.
