I always PH my water and I use Coco. Don’t necessarily need to with soil as good soil will buffer for you. It also depends on your water. I have been using my tap water and my mix almost always came to a perfect 6 so I did not have to ph for most of the run

I started with RO water but realized it was a bunch of work and wasn’t necessary, well at least for my purposes. You going to be using Calmag?

nah i figure us canadians have good tap water and that should add enough calcium as is for coco. i can grab some just incase though

Yeah, I dropped most of the Calmag and started adding Epsom Salt as there is a fair amount of Calcium in the tap water and with added calmag you risk too much calcium locking out magnesium. In the end the plants will tell you what they want or need.

Many people use jacks with coco so plenty of info out there. I have only ever grown in coco, I chose it because I wanted to control every bit that I could and coco is a pretty plant canvas. You will be fine, just watch them constantly for changes and life will be good. I am thinking about trying something new next run for nutes, I use GH Trio but am looking around. I have always used GH so be nice to learn something else.

I’ve stuck with canna a+b for coco simply because it’s easy and works alright

pricey tho no ?

Yeah it’s a bit pricey, less so if you buy the bulk jugs but that’s a fair bit up front too

do you mix your coco with perlite ? 24 bucks for 50 liters and i think i will need 3 bags for a 4x8 … so pricey lol

Buy the bricks you have to add water too, much cheaper

only ones i have seen local are the cyco bricks that expand to 5 litres for 20 bucks. for extra 4 bucksi can get canna coco i dont have to water over night … if i can find it for 15 or less and not have to wash and buffer it that will def be the route

40 litre bricks @ indoorgrowingcanada are $24

Buy 5 get 1 free

the cana coco bags are 50 litres and also 24 bucks where i get em. unless i misheard his price quote

Could be, the ones I’ve seen are just over 50
