I got an XC setup YFZ here you won’t be riding barefoot. Them calluses wont be enough! For positive foot engagement, I physically sharpened the points on the pegs. My boots take a beating, but my feet never slip. Barefoot on them would be like putting your feet in a meat grinder :face_vomiting:

(I used to race XC nationally)

ps. I am barefoot 9 months of the year if I can be. I have tons of callouses but wont get on that thing without shoes… nope. no way lol

Nice. You would be surprised at what my Flintstone feet can take, lol. But I don’t sharpen my pegs, no need. Don’t normally get above 60 on the trails.

No, I mean MPH.

Just looking at that is making me dizzy.

Does Canada use km or mph?

kmph is what we use

KM/H on signage

We use KM but I read my ATV in MPH, I get bitched at less for speeding in the woods

ROFL. The avg speed in an XC race is 25 mph or less… tight twisty trails thru the woods, not wide open baja… I think I recall one race at Unadilla with some good straights, still barely broke 50mph for a few seconds at most

Feel the need for seed! I mean speed!

Most trails up where I am were carved by us over decades. There are some great straight shots and some downhill. Countless miles of trail. Now go down the back side of the “mountain” and it’s .2 MPH. Just depends on what you are after

There’s enough for 2 packs, so congrats to @Abbbian and @Dirtron. I’ll PM you.

Here’s to shaking out negative vibes :beers:

Ahh, in my “police state” ATV’s are mostly illegal anywhere we ride… The trails behind my house I cut as a kid are no longer recognizeable. Hell, the 2 mile long XC practice course I cut 12 years ago, is almost not recognizable now (I havent raced in 8 yrs). Few trails here last more than a few years before they are abandoned because of all the glacial till that we uncover. “The Embedded Rock Trail” is a pretty good name for most trails here…

Hill Climbs and Downhills can be fun. The most fun I had was when I was married and lived in another town with easy access to an abandoned RR bed. Whoops for miles!

Must be wild going through some of those tight courses they set up.

Got some uppotting to do, I’ll be back later if things are still poppin’
