Its an adrenaline rush for sure! At GNCC races my class (Vet B) would be on the course with the Proās. I got my 2.2 seconds of fame once on RacerTV when I was being lapped by proās at Unadilla, I was between the 2nd and 3rd place pros, right when we all passed a cameraman. That was pretty cool.
At another race in Eagleswood, NJ, I held off the #1 pro (Chris Borich) for the last 300 yards of the race to the finish line (etiquette is to let faster higher class racers pass if they rev limit you). I knew who was behind me, I knew he had the white flag, and if he crossed before me, it would trigger the checkers. If I crossed before him, I would get 1 more lap on all my class. I was a dick not letting him pass, but I sure had fun on my āparade lapā without having to worry about any racers behind meā¦

LOL, thatās awesome man. I sure like to kick those things be it boat, car, atv or jet ski but never been on one of those race machines. Did pull off a 3/4 flip on my Kawi 750 ski but as I say, 3/4, lol.

XC is a fun machine, because its not so much about the motor / power, as it is about suspension, and reliability. I spent more on shocks, steering stem, steering stabilizer, flex bars and beadlock rims than I did on my motor. In fact, only āmotorā work I did was airbox / jets / exhaust, and a Rekluse slipper clutch.
The YFZ is a fun machine for sure, light, can toss it, but has the power to pullā¦

I would love to do a desert race, Baja 250 / 500 / 1000, or any of the SCORE races, but I think age is catching up to me and that will never happen. Iāve read about those races / their pit setups, and thats insane! In XC at least I do laps on a 9-12 mile course, and I can pit at my trailer on each lap if I want. Desert is point to point, and 250 miles on a quad is several pitstops. Crazy organization to pull that offā¦

Once I pull these plants, that will never happen again. Its all personal here, so they will get me thru the next 6 months I guestimate. By then I should have a few generations of autos done with playing with genetics, and be givin shit awayā¦
But for the next two weeksā¦ I think I gotta do the right thing. Gonna call my guy tomorrowā¦

Iāve gotten pretty scientific about it this time, well, probably because technology allows it.
I bought one of those microscopes you can use with your phone. And I regularly inspect the trichs. Right now I am like 90% cloudy, 5% clear, and 5% turning amber. Holding out just a few more days to see those clear disappearā¦
If this was me 10 years ago? That shit woulda be pulled last week. LOL

I love my phone microscope! I like my weed a little buzzier, so I usually chop at 5% amber, unless Iām growing kush, than I wait for a bit more amber to get that real kush couch lock stone
