Free Seeds & Free Clones Thread Vol. 5

Not exactly. I mean I suppose you could describe it like that. The gene may be there but not dominant. Takes time to make it dominant enough to trigger timed blooming.

Interesting, autos not my forte

Exactly. I’m just wondering if anyone wants my last pack to work with

I wouldn’t work them till the spring at the earliest. Trying to fight my seed whore tendencies…but I love auto’s. And selecting the auto’s from the f2 is easy, just leave the lights on. Someone should jump on this.

So would these seeds each have a 50% chance of being auto? None of the blueberry autos I grew were actually auto

Yes if one was pp (the auto) and the other was Pp (the auto photo F1 aka some of Marks “auto”s) the progeny would be 50% Pp (fast) and 50% pp (auto)

Is fast flowering always associated with auto/ruderalis?

Great way of putting it man

@Qtip no, there are definitely strains with short flowering times that are in no way related to ruderalis

It’s fine if you want to wait till spring. If you want them just let me know

But when breeding with autos fast flowering is a trait prior to full auto? Does fast flowering always come in the Pp scenario? @Dirtron would you know?

i don’t know anything about autos

Yes. Pp photo-auto F1 is one way to make a fast flowering. Typically these are labeled “fast” versus just line breeding 1st fem to flower for many gens… which are more of those older fast types like early girl.

But Pp “fast” or (half auto’s) won’t breed true. You end up with 1/4 auto, 1/2 fast, and 1/4 photo.

Versus true breeding short flowering PP photo strains.

Many have speculated that many of Mark‘s “autos “are actually these Pp F1’s. In which case a quarter of the next generation would be full auto. Or if bred to true auto then 1/2 would be. So it should be pretty easy to tell definitively if someone wanted to grow them for two generations.

Thx for offer man! Appreciated! But I think these are for someone else. I know someone will come along who will be interested and is able to hit it sooner.

Just before I found OG, while I was hunting for male/regular sex auto flowering strains, A guy locally gave me some Pp F1’s. They are just finishing seeding. But in the interim I found many regular sex auto’s. So I have my own seeds in essentially the same situation as yours just waiting on me to run them to select the pp auto’s. But who knows when I’ll actually get to it. I want to though just to know that it worked.

Now if we were talking that superfreak it would be a different story! Maybe we can talk trade once I finish my super Bubblegum hunt!

Yep. That’s what it sounds like

Superfreak, feminized, autos that are resistant to mites and mould and produce big indoors and out. @corey and @Dirtron you figure it out and I’ll test them for you :+1:

That’s cool man. I’m just getting into this breeding and I’m addicted now. Don’t be surprised if I start asking for advice lol. What’s this bubblegum about because I have a pack of freakshow

Lol. That’s above my head

My one run was “practice” for maybe making an AutoFreak

But I think some people are already on this (several generations in already)or has already been done or whatever.
