Genetics Worth Preserving?

I’ve been keeping a collection of at least a dozen strains in fairly regular rotation, and some always seem to stand out, especially for activation/perception/relaxation purposes—the primary reasons I consume trees.

So the converse of that is the strains that don’t stand out, especially those that don’t function as well for the above purposes. Interesting side note, I got sick a couple years back and lost a significant part of my sense of smell, and can no longer smell thc and limonene.

Now I smell more of the other terps, and losing my sense of accurate smell has caused me to zone in on the actual effects of each plant, a mixed blessing. Anyway, maybe the watered-down part is about strains that might be enjoyable but less effective for specific purposes.

Totally — they definitely mention the thread of commercial cultivation on the ov.erall available gene pool, including in countries in which people have typically sourced landraces

And what you’re saying about some genetics really flooding the market is def a thing. Like the OG Kush craze. At least chem crosses are interesting…

I’m looking to preserve certain genetics based on the purposes listed above, but lately the strains I’ve been consuming have been more of a tasty beverage than an effective tool, if you dig
