What I mean is- to set up for photos with Moms and taking clones- you need another whole tent/room for them, set up with lights and fans etc…running either 24hrs a day, 20/4 or 18/6…
So you will more than double what you use now…and photo’s usually need more lumens than autos. Just things to think about when making your decision… no guarantee your Photo’s will produce more per ft2… depends on the strains you grow, how long you veg, etc… some Auto’s can really produce!!
I’m a a hard photo guy but it’s just me.
Thank you
Thank you gpaw❤️
For consistent, repeatable results photos are the only way to go. People have grown monsters with autos, but as others have said you don’t hear about the 6" runts. Get A couple mothers that work well for you and clone from that and throw a few autos in for a lark once in awhile.
I say do a photo run to see how you like it. 80-90 days is doable with some varieties and small light leaks aren’t as serious as some make them out to be.
If it’s a small see through worm that might be a fungus gnat larva. You can add BTI to the coco to kill them off.
Used to have the odd seed that would rot and be eaten by those worms when I was direct sowing. Haven’t seen any since switching to paper towel germination and adding mosquito bits for BTI.
With the right mothers and clones growing perpetually, you can get some incredible yields and harvest as often as every 2 weeks depending on the size of your grow. Once you get going fully it can be a ton of work though, and hard to take a break when you have a bunch of clones lined up ready to go all the time.
Thank you friend,I have to consider kit of things before switching

Btw I saw your main thread,it Is Amazing brother
It surely was, I have some gnat Flying around
These are my thoughts as well.
small sample size, and also a new grower so getting less bad all the time, but the best bud I’ve grown so far was my first photo.
free growshop seeds, better than the pricey autos. I think the trend of new growers going autos…kinda misguided. sure you don’t have to time lights but everything else is trickier. you’re on a clock and everything’s gotta be perfect in veg. photoperiod just get the thing off the ground and take your time with no worries…clock starts when you flip the lights.
autos are great for outdoors tho.
That Is true.I think photos are a lot less flimsy and picky on nutrients.Could Just be my thought
