That is pretty damn awesome!
What did you use to seal the wood and kush leaf?
What kind of wood is the top made from?
Your wall looks pretty damn good as well!

I sealed the leaf in after I stained it with epoxy.
The top is a slice of pine with the bark left on.
I have always collected rocks. Since I was little. My Grandfather had a garnet mine on his property. It was a dark , dirty cave. Well, some of those garnets and stones I collected are in that wall.
Everywhere I go I collect rocks or beach glass.
Beautiful work! Will the leaf stay green like that always now that it’s sealed?
It will. It’s sealed between epoxy layers
Very nice indeed.
Thank you!
Fantastic work @Bobgrows. Excellent epoxy work also
Always thought about trying to seal faded leaves in the epoxy. I was not sure it would stay pretty, and epoxy is pretty expensive to waste on something that will not stay the way you want it. That’s a really pretty side table there, Bobbi.
Thank you.
Your first layer has to be almost set to put the leaf in. It should be tacky. Put the leaf in, press lightly to adhere.
Let sit a few hours. Pour top layer on.
There will be some small bubbles. The leaf is still giving off gasses.
Sweeeet! My wife would love something like that.
Do you have a degaussing chamber? Vacuum pump
Looks great Bobbi, now make a clock. It’s 4:20 somewhere!
For what? I’m confused…
Good idea! Thank you for the suggestion.
If you put the epoxy under pressure it’ll pull the bubbles out.
They sound pricey.
Haven’t had that problem with other projects. Someone told me it was because the leaf was still green and viable giving off gasses.
It doesn’t look too obvious. But, I know it’s there…
It looks GREAT!!!
Maybe use your Food saver???
Ok. I’ll shut up now.
For how long? lol
Just until someone makes a mistake and sends you a straight line right over the plate!
I got a pretty simple one for bho. My friend who does wood work said it could be used to pull gas out of any liquid. I thought I would mention it since you talked about bubbles
