We may be old, but we got to see all the Rock God’s.
I have been to so many concerts I can’t remember them all.
I’ve seen Pink Floyd twice, Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, the list goes on. Do they even still have big time Rock shows like that? I’m not talking about Autotune Pop Tarts.

@BigMike55: Yes. But they cost hundreds of dollars to attend now even if you are in a “nose-bleed” section behind a post. :man_shrugging:

Yeah. I took my wife to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra this year and it was a good $500 night out. With food and drinks and the show.
I remember seeing Black Oak Arkansas in 1972. They had two other bands come on first. One was Bloodrock and I can’t remember the other. I think I paid like 7 bucks to get in. Crazy how times have changed.

Yeah. Those ticket prices @BigMike55 make it nearly impossible for me to afford to see shows anymore.

I recall 5-20$ a ticket was my average for most venues here with the high-end locations being $50-250. This still meant that I could afford a nosebleed for the 50$.

Now the 5-20$ range places are all $30-100 + service fees… and the 50-250$ are all $200-1000+ + service fees :man_facepalming:

I made it to see Deep Purple at Ft. Leonard Wood back in the late 70’s. It cost a buck and a quarter. lol
I think the craziest one I ever attended was Ozzy’s “No More Tours” tour. That was, without a doubt, filled with the craziest bunch of folks I have ever witnessed. lol
The music was great but the atmosphere was different than any concert I had ever been to.
I think Ozzy Osbourne fans are a breed of their own.

You wanna see crazy? Go on YouTube and search for Psy Trance Festival. I looked at a video of that by accident. Wildest bunch I have ever seen.

I looked at an outside festival just now. Dang! How much acid you suppose was consumed there! Those folks were flat trippin!

Fun times!
My first husband was a Roady. I was in high school dating him. I was at concerts every weekend! Always row 1-5 right by the biggest speakers you ever saw! No wonder I’m hard of hearing now! :flushed:
You name it from the 70’s , if they came through Detroit I was there!
The old Cobo Hall. Fun times!!

Bet you got some cool stories. Wasn’t it nice to live before everything done is recorded by 10 people and posted online for life

It truly was .! But I was so young at the time I didn’t really appreciate where I was! I appreciate those times more now, that I’m older looking back.
Back then a good concert with 3 bands was only $5.00! :flushed:
Now like someone said outrageous!
Even outside venues they want almost $200.for Lawn!! Not going to too many with those prices…

Yeah, most of my bands are either retired, dead or really just lost their fire. I am going to see Seal on May 15th just because my wife likes him and I won tickets on the radio. Should be interesting to see The Buggles open for him, lol.

Ozzfest 97 deer Creek was crazy ass concert. 30 bands 3 stages $28 can’t beat it. Now 1 stage 1 band $75 wtf!

I will get really stoned and go with an open mind. One way or another it should be a good time. Last tickets I won was to see Kim Mitchell and Bare Naked Ladies play in studio, now that was a trip.

The last concert I went to was Kenny Chesney, Dan and Shay and Old Dominian.
First row! Such an awesome time. Dan and Shay hung out right in front of us for the rest of the show. They were so kind and fun. Short guys… goofy.
They even danced with us! Lol

Dude! I would love to see any live music these days! Seal’s got some bangers! As long as they serve beer, I’m good!
