Just a quick few pics from the first fresh frozen run I have ever done from yesterday. Ran it through the 160 to clean it and 75 to collect the rest. I also ran the last of the water through the 25 in the end. 1 aggressive wash is all I did. Not very much material was used.
Very interesting stuff, pretty much was instantly melting together after recovering it from the bags.

Pressed out the bubble hash from the trim run.
160 from 1st and 2nd wash along with the 25 from both.
120 and 75 from 2nd wash
120 and 75 from 1st wash
End result.

Very nice! How did you go about drying your fresh frozen? Mine seems like it will be impossible to get the moisture out of lol.
Honestly my trim run bubble hash has a slight sizzle here and there, would love to be able to use a freeze drier heh.

Cheers! I make sure it’s as dry as I can get it before leaving the screen bag
Then freeze it solid, microplane it, and let it freeze on parchment and cardboard in the freezer for a week chopping it up finer every day or so.
The fan in my freezer seems to lightly blow over the hash on the top shelf helping it freeze dry too
5 days and it usually explodes to dry dust when you crush it between your fingers. 7 days it seems to always be 100% dry.
Can set the rosin out in the freezer or fridge to cure and drop water content too afterwards

Gotcha. Ya I was considering doing some heat tempering to it hoping it would get some out. I am storing all my rosin in the refrigerator now, but that is with the lid on and vacuum sealed.

Oh nice, never tried that could def help, might darken it though.
Probably keep fine in the fridge anyhow, your rosin turned out beautiful btw!
Yea my buddy has a temple ball from stuff dried in my regular old freezer that’s like 6 months old with no mold yet so it seems to work pretty good

Ill try to burn through this stuff first maybe heh. I was trying to work through last years flower rosin, but it can sit and age/ferment more heh.

might darken it though.
I expect it would. Which may or may not be desirable. I deliberately do it.
Yeah as long as it’s dried right it should last forever. My oldest is a year and change.

That’s awesome, you notice a big change in effects? Longest I’ve pushed one is 3 months lmao

Yes big changes. Keep in mind I’m talking specifically about black hash.
It becomes much more sedative in effect. The colour blackens and it loses structural integrity and collapses on itself. Like tar/wood putty.
Let me find a pic
It keeps its texture likely because it develops a protective patina (but I don’t know about that for sure).

Cheers! I was surprised with the buttery color, it goes super pale after oxidizing a bit too. Probably the nicest stuff I’ve pressed to date
