I had a similar result when I pressed some cob cured buds. Very dark. I, personally, thought the potency was similar. The best effects I got from cob cured buds were chewing them.

Chewing them is great, but I love how smooth they smoke when rolled in joints. This rosen was pretty strong it tastes and smells just like bubble hash though. I rhink it mostly comes down to what strain you use.

Never tried the flower myself. But I have wedding cake flower and shatter and this live sauce blows them taste and high wise out of the park.

So i think one of the main things im missing is running it through a sifter before drying.
Im guessing thats how you get it to dry all broken up like in the oic?
