How do people who have their lights really up high not have too big in-between node spacing?

apples and oranges distance is not really the problem it is the colour temp bright white 6500k for veg like a mh bulb blue light it is what keeps your plants from stretching think early spring the sun is high in the sky it has a white hue to it then as fall move closer the sun will lay lower on the horizon and get a warm 3500k hps glow to it more of the red hues witch help in flower i can keep them short and tight with a veg switch on an led light then i am ready we flip the switch blue light is your friend your vegging with a flower bulb not judging i have used fluorescents the hole way look up dr bruce bugbee
