I'm jealous of soil growers

Haha, my secret sauce is soap nuts that soak in vegetable glycerin for 90+ days. Add about a tablespoon per 5 gallon bucket.

You could do a soak for the watering, by filling a bucket with your tea/water and set the pot in the water/tea to soak up the liquid, this also helps a bit by not compressing the medium with top down watering. Just saying for what itā€™s worthā€¦

Sure if I had a few plants that would be practicalā€¦ But Iā€™ve got an entire 12x16 greenhouse stuffed full with roots going through the grow bags straight into the ground, they get the hose again, and again, and again lol

Once peat gets wet after about 15 min itā€™s not so bad to water in but Iā€™m impatient when I have that many plants to do

Ya I see your point, not so practical when youā€™re running a bunch of plantsā€¦

Love the healthy discussion and advice for soil growing!

Iā€™ve read through all the comments and will have to read them all again to take it all in.

Might just need to get back on the horse and give soil a go again!

Where does cannabis grow in a forest?

Haha ever heard of guerrilla grows? Lol used to be a bigger thing before we moved the plants in our backyards with legalization

I guess it depends on what type of forest. But cannabis prefers to grow in a clearing. In addition, a rain forest is actually not very fertile, most of the nutrients are tied up in the vegetation at any given moment.

Let me just put this here!

4200 forest plants

Ya gonna have to disagree with ya on that one, years and years of that vegetation dropping and layering that forest floor is just one giant ass compost pile, new plants sprout up all the time in it and able to find plenty of nutrition. Letā€™s just say Iā€™d sure love a few front loader scoops of forest floor delivered to my place here if I could! Lots of bomb microbes and natural fungus mycelium cultures that would greatly benefit my gardens

EDIT I mean can u say no till garden? More like no till forest

I like guerrilla grows in swamps. Spooky at night. And it pisses off the beavers.

Seriously. When they get annoyed they slap their tails on the water and it is LOUD. Enough to freak a guy out if you didnā€™t know what it was.

Please holdā€¦,ā€¦,ā€¦,ā€¦,
Looking up beaver tail slapping

Edit: Ok I checked it outā€¦
I am with youā€¦ If I was not able to see the beaver do it, I would be shuffling my feetā€¦

Edit #2 In the below video the 1st beaver tail slap is at 1:21ā€¦ Unless you want to watch a beaver swimming around for a minuteā€¦

I once thought someone was throwing rocks in a river that I was hiking out along at night. I would freeze, wait a few minutes, start walking again and ā€¦ā€œsplashā€. After the 3rd time I was like" Alright, whoā€™s there?"
Finally figured out it was a beaver!

Since we are talking about beaver in a soil thread.

Thought this was interestingā€¦
