WE HAVE 2 WINNERS!!
The total number of eggs in the fabric pot is 498. Only 42 of them are the chocolate eggs wrapped in gold foil, and the rest are the colored eggs.
Those colored eggs are Whoppers Robin Eggs (like the chocolate covered malted milk balls). Turns out, Whoppers makes 2 different sized Robin Eggs, and these are the larger ones. If I filled the pot with the smaller ones, the total number would have been significantly higher - putting a bunch more of your guesses into play.

Worth mentioning, someone else would’ve taken the top prize with a guess of 492 (only 6 off from the correct number!), but that person didn’t read the rules and do the only thing truly required for your vote to count. Don’t sweat it though, @Kingkush312, the same thing happened to @Kcity87 last month - and he responded by officially winning a few weeks later.
