Johnnypotseed’s 3-ring circus - with autos, photos & sex…reversals, that is! (Part 2)

Light schedule is completely up to the grower…the only thing we ask is that you do your foliar applications shortly before lights out.

Outdoor isn’t up too the grower. This is why I asked about the light schedule.

i believe one benefit you may realize utilizing BBP in autos, is that you will definitely enhance your vegetative growth…Growing outdoor autos, I guess the name of the game is get them as large as possible before they do decide to bloom on you.

I was thinking that it would increase size and flower based on what I’m reading. Autos outdoor are not ideal because of the light schedule being uncontrollable for us. My only concern is if it extended the flower cycle to much

I think I’ve perhaps mentioned it in the BudBusterPro thread, but a longer flower cycle in autos logically makes some sense to me…
It seems (to me) that an auto with 50% or more additional bud will take longer to fill that bud and consequently extend the flower cycle simply by filling and maturing that bud?!

I came back on to post a pic of some seeds lol the conversation is still going on here?
Anyways…I gleaned some seeds from a few buds and got to say, @BudBusterPro did like you said it would Bob, used on the flowers pollinated up to about 1&1/2 weeks before harvest. Created bigger/ fatter seeds! this is just the few I popped out, curious lol

Now for the ‘acid test’ lol i’m gonna germinate a few to see how they do!

Healthy seeds right there!

Good for you Johnny!!
What doesn’t show (in the picture) is the enhanced viability along with the size!
LOL, perfect ! I was just going to encourage that!
I should probably reveal my suspicions ahead of time. You can imagine already that the ‘germ’ and ‘endosperm’ are obviously larger than normal in those seeds. Also encapsulated in them is the enhanced metabolic capability your plants contributed. That metabolic advantage can’t last long (after all seed is a small package!) however, we’re going to be able to see how fast these seedling take to get their first set of true leaves, where we would normally pick up the external BBP applications on small plants!!
Should be fun to observe the process!!!

LOL, I amuse myself !!! Think how fitting it is that Johnny’s epic legacy is his Frankenstein series…
Perhaps we experience the birth of 'DAUGHTER OF FRANKENSTEIN"

Well, we’ll see how it goes. However, I’m of the mind that the genetics may have possibly been changed to give it the enhanced properties, no matter when they’re germed, since everything in the seed is ‘dormant’ until germinated. But I do agree that possibly the fresher they are, the better. Only time has that answer

I’ll have to set some seeds aside and try them in a year to ‘compare’ with results from ‘fresh’ seeds germinated almost immediately

Sigh lol another project…

‘Daughter of Frankenstein’ has been on the list for awhile lol I just haven’t created her yet
although, I AM working on that lol

Johnny…
First rule of plant physiology…we can possibly maximize all aspects of a plants physiology, but we can NEVER MODIFY GENETICS. Genetics can only change through breeding or mutations of the plants genome…
In short you will never change you genetics with BBP…FWIW

Ok lol I stand corrected there in that case. So, what do you figure is the deal with the bigger seeds?
there has to be some sort of enhancement going on there
Maybe not on a genetic level, but on some level
I’m no scientist, with scientific answers. But these seeds… there’s something going on/gone on there
Granted that possibly saying ‘genetic’ was a mis-speak. But these aren’t your normal seeds!

Johnny the larger seeds you see with BBP, are a result of the metabolic efficiency.
We see that same efficiency displayed in the more rapid vegetative growth, increased bud quantity and quality…we are simply seeing those same efficiencies demonstrated in the seed now.

Sorry, I didn’t want to cause any confusion for you.

ok lol so basically, ‘enhanced’, like I said. Genetic or not, they should, hopefully, produce bigger/better plants. Is that the bottom line?
In that line of thought, I wonder if any generations after this would keep those enhancements?
and another ‘project’/‘experiment’ lol

You got it, and explained it better and more concise than I did!!
It’ll be a LOT of fun seeing how those seeds perform when you get em in pots!
