I haven’t had percolated coffee in 40 years but I’m thinking about getting a percolator.

Good Morning OG!
We have a Bunn coffee maker, by the time I wash my face my coffee is ready for me. Got a couple of perk pots for emergency & camping. But don’t have either anymore, lol so they just sit on the shelf.

I hate my hamilton beach coffee maker. It always put coffe grounds in the pot. Only good thing is i can fix it up at night and set it for 6am. Usually i get up right around then so coffee (with grounds) is ready as soon as i get up. The heating spot stays on for two hours.

The Bunn keeps a pot of water hot all ready for ya to push the button and 3 minutes later you have a pot of hot coffee. We prep it before going to bed.

We replaced ours a couple years ago, for same reason lol got old…

Good morning JP! Good morning everyone! I use a French Press to make coffee every morning. It’s not the most convenient method for making coffee but I enjoy the flavor and potency I get out of it. I did have one of those single pod Kurig machines that made a cup on demand which was cool, but it went teets up so back to old faithful.

We ground up our kona beans for years, can’t afford that now, lol

It can be kind of spendy, but coffee is a vice of mine. Gotta have it or the damn roof will cave in I feel like. That little electric single pod coffee machine was pretty nifty while she lasted, press and go kind of thing. There is just something bout these French presses that I can’t do without.

We go through a 12cup pot in the morning with no problem! Maybe even another… at $50.00 a pound for the Kona dark roast whole beans, we gotta pass!

Holy smokes! I like my coffee but not that much!! Probably a cool experience being able to try that Kona Coffee tho. I usually go get a bulk Costco 3 or 5 LB of the whole bean dark or medium and grind them at home. I can’t remember how
Much it is but it lasts long enough for me to forget how much I paid for it. Probably 20-30 bucks or something.

We have 2 grinders, one electric and the other hand crank. The hand crank gives a better ‘grind’ but gives me hell now to use! lol Now n then we splurge and grab a small bag of Kona from the store.

I quit using my Keurig because it’s such a ripoff.

Yeah, we checked that stuff out and passed, lol
I drink mine straight black & strong… Rose liked an occasional Frappacino or such. But now we both just use the Bunn, lol
She likes a little coffee with her cream n sugar, lol

I love a good pot of French preessed coffee. I have gotten lazy and like to hit the button and walk away though. Lil half and half, just a few grains of raw sugar. My coffee I don’t cheap on. Its not top shelf but its sourced and consistent.

Good morning everyone. You’re all making me think it’s time to make some more coffee . French press here also.

I went to Jamaica a few years back with some friends. Stopped in a little coffee shop and drank the best coffee ive ever tried. It was samples. So good, i bought five pounds to bring home with me. When i ground it up and brewed it was just ok. Nothing special. I talked to one of my friends that went with me. I said that coffee tastes bad. Whats the difference? He said those samples had Jamaican Rum in it.
Ah! Explains everything.

Yep, think I’ve heard something like/about that before. lol
In the islands, they put a ‘touch’ in the coffee at shops. Maybe not all, don’t know. But some for sure.
Last time I went to any of the Carribean Islands was back in the 70s lol

lol Don’t ask about my trips, I was always too F’d up to remember much!
