Definitely depends on your space available and other preferences. Try to narrow it little bit, there are many types of hydro systems. Are you looking only for series of buckets with main reservoir?

Yeah I’d list your space and amount of plants you want as well as any requirements

Easiest active hydro system is an ebb-and-flow table. You can build a big one for less than $500.

How much time, money, and space do you have? Also what style of hydro do you want to grow in? I second an eb n flow table, or a top fed recirculating system.

I have a 4x4 tent I am looking to spend up to 300 just about I’m not positive but if I do the dwc I is it better to get one with the extra main bucket? Or is that just drip systems? What about this one https://www.ebay.com/i/254513746004?rt=nc&_trkparms=aid%3D1110001%26algo%3DSPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D225118%26meid%3D7dbdb4cb3cd34ef6926d03318128ca8e%26pid%3D100694%26rk%3D10%26rkt%3D30%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D392225613134%26itm%3D254513746004%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2386202

I’m thinking either auto pot or DWC what range inches should I stay within for the nets? How much gph should the water pump have? Also should I get the reservoir bucket? Or does that only for more then 2 buckets?

For dwc if you’re running only 2 buckets a control bucket would be overkill since 2 are really easy to work with.
A res bucket for mixing nutrients and adjusting pH before adding to the grow buckets is a good idea but doesn’t need to be any larger than the total that the 2 buckets will hold - if using 2 5gallon buckets a 10 gallon res would be enough.
As far as the net pot size, I have used 2 inch to 6 inch and have found that the 6 inch was easier to use. YMMV
