Governmental/regulatory over-reach actually nurtures and perpetuates the black market.

So stupid.
Sad.

black market will be going strong for many years to come.

Funny the way the corporate network reports - Maine has not set its tax rate yet. Actually the voter-passed law currently on the books has a 10% tax rate, and the Maine government is refusing to implement the law.

IMO, the black market will keep 50% or more of sales until tax rates are reduced below 10%, like alcohol.

Yes indeed.
This begs the question as to what the true motives of our illustrious state governments are.

I just posted the same article here Cannabis Current Events

Here’s more - this is from the producer of “Sex in the City”. This is what medical marijuana looks like in a state that is home-base to many of the largest Pharmaceutical corporations:

Of course, the mainstream media has no problem with big-agriculture destroying the environment with chemicals and open-air pollination of cross-species chimera GMO plants

The only reason that this article makes any credible points is because of the existence of a vibrant black market in cannabis.

The environment would not be polluted if not for the bizarre, labyrinthine laws which exacerbate the situation!

Cannabis is a native species to North America, it can’t hurt local environments in anyway. Watering chemicals into our water table can have many negative impacts to our environment.

This is who wrote the article, Chris Melore. It looks like he copy and pastes over MANY different subjects. He adds no facts of his own then adds a little opinion then pumps them out.

Everyone knows that the FDA is a paragon of unimpeachable, objective truth.

Oh wait, maybe not.

The FDA has never healed anybody, as far as evidence suggest they are are in the business of slowing change so existing corporations are protected and can keep profiting off the sick and dying.

US taxpayers should be proud of what their hard earned money accomplishes to help people!
For shame.

This is a bit disturbing

I think this is a little overblown.

I smoked everyday for about twenty years before I decided to quit cold turkey.
Very mild insomnia…and sleep did provide more vivid dreams. This stabilized after a couple days. Nowhere near as onerous as described in the article.

Quitting was particularly beneficial, because I discovered the best way for me to mange my tolerance. I quit smoking 3 or 4 times every year for about a week or so each time.
Every time I start to smoke again, I am astonished by how truly euphoric smoking weed can be.

Same here, usually I just take a single Benadryl the first night for insomnia and after that, no withdrawal symptoms.

I find abstaining just for 3 days is enough to massively reset my tolerance. Although I want to keep my cannabinoid levels high for arthritis relief.
