Has anybody used a moisture meter digital for wood, to test ur moisture content in a bud during or after the cure

Once I hit 11% while hanging is when I trim and bag.

I’m still getting the hang of using this but it seems like 9% - 11% moisture level in the woody stalk of a drying plant means it’s ready to trim & jar.

Jury is still out but it could be a very useful tool.

I put it into the big cola buds, not the stem and works really well for me.

They are the best when it show in the middle in the jar they go. I have found it to work better than any other method of trying to figure out are they ready!

Just check the buds, not necessarily the stems.

Handy looking gadget might I ask where you got it?

Most hardware stores have them in areas where people burn wood for heat. So there or Amazon. It’s just a firewood moisture meter.

Thanks everybody for the input on the moisture meter, will be getting one definitely.

What would be the proper moisture % to know when plants are done drying. I got a new gadget for checking moisture % and was just wondering

Thanks in advance

Super interesting

Make sure your checking the BUDS not the stems! This is very important because I started checking the stems and then was bagging stuff up too wet or too dry until I realized how to properly use this tool for weed

Yep, I shoot for 11 or 12 percent. It works great and takes guesswork out.

Yes, you need to check the biggest buds.
