He can draw-- just at the time, he did architectural layouts and designs-- he thought it wasn’t ‘creative’…
Used to grow AMAZING rare orchids, which is why he loves the botanicals
… will still tell you he can’t draw!

HA! I knew a woman, she was fourth seat violinist for the NY Philharmonic, who insisted, absolutely insisted, that she couldn’t play popular songs that she totally knew! This was amongst a few musicians who were all family and friends, which is to say there was nothing somehow public. It was the most amazing thing.
She also lost her $250k violin by leaving it in a taxi in Italy, but that’s a whole 'nother story…

Dunning-Kruger is a bit different though…It is not self doubt…it is overestimating your own ability…or expecting something to be easy for every just because it is easy for you…
