Random Fact of the day🤓

Alice Cooper once won an Alice Cooper look alike contest. First prize was dinner with Alice Cooper.
I’ve always thought this was pretty funny. He crashed a local radio station contest as a joke, and because his costume was so crazy, the judges just assumed he was a contestant.

@Esrgood4u I have a few roofing clients, the workers comp they pay is off the chain expensive! One of my clients had 2 of his workers die on the job as well. Please, always wear your harness!!

@Meesh, my father in law was having a roof done, and one of the crew took a side job in the neighborhood. Cash job, not through the company, no workers comp. Homeowner did not have third party worker coverage.

The guy fell off. Broke his back. Paraplegic with no chance of recovery. Sued the homeowner. Homeowner sued the company because he used the company truck with logos on it and assumed coverage was there. An overall bad day for everyone.

Fun fact of the day?
There is a lawyer for every 300 people in the USA!

I’m telling ya! The longer roofers are at it, the more brave and daring they get. When you get too familiar with something, that’s when accidents happen. Just like most car accidents happen within 6 miles from home (because you are so familiar with the roads, you pay less attention)

My better half is a journeyman woodworker. She is terrified of table saws (especially the old safety-free 10hp beasts they ran in the millwork shop). Still has all her fingers even after years of high output production work doing finicky cuts, she us the master of all the custom details that are never the same size or shape. Fear is healthy.

Another random fact: you know what causes more finger amputation than the table saw, by a factor of 100? The door.
