Cool. It was either you or Bobbie that shared your recipe with me before. I’d have to look up my notes.
I’ve got some really high CBD hemp strain seeds. I was trying to figure out a way to fit them into a grow and then make tropicals with the flower.
my woman has told me to grow cbd for years. guess we gotta do what ya gotta do.
the thc salves i have tried do not give the same relief the cbd ones do. your mileage may vary. but the cbd rub i tried was 3000 mgs in a 28 gram rub. people tell me that some are way higher doses. 25,000 mgs? plus. not only did the 3000 mgs rub help with pain relief but also took down the inflammation i have carried around for the last 40 yrs. i gave up on reducing the swollen knee that has forever pained me. then i rub cbd salve my sister sent me for my birthday and like magic my knee gets better. thc rubs i tried did not do that. took me longer than it should have to give cbd a try and grow it. but i am gonna do more cbd grows and salves.
My guess is both of those strains are <1% cbd/cbg? So if you’re getting pain relief it’s probably all from thc & cbn. Great news sounds like you can use the trim from anything, dont have to grow cbd specific plants, awesome
When I hit harvest time I’ll have to hit yall up for the recipe. I’m so sick of handing $ over to big companies for stuff we can easily do in the kitchen. Self reliance is where its at
@mainerJ Yea topical cbd helps for sure with inflammation. Glad it helped your knee so much!
oh definitely getting pain and somewhat of a sleep aide. I’m an awful sleeper unfortunately but when I use this stuff it definitely helps. I also notice a bit more vivid dreams when I do but they never seem to be negative. Again this is subjective… but I have given out some samples to people who I do not know to even smoke as well as smokers and I’m waiting for their experiences with this rub. Time will tell with honest reviews.
Yo bro, how’s the storms down there for u, I’m getting ravished up here
Yeah same… I didn’t even want to let my pup out in this it’s so gnarly. Little ones trampoline almost took off in the wind as well we had to anchor in down real fast. This is a pretty brutal storm.
Ya I’ve got severe damage on 4 plants already and several others are 90 degree’d over, wind threw the door open and created a wind tunnel for the ones at the entrance, we got 4 more days of this shit too with Sunday being the most violent, u better strap what u can down before then before shit takes flight. Hoping shit survives this weekend, considering knocking down the bottom halves of my plants to reduce overall weight for better chance of survival, just playing it by ear for now. Yours are undamaged but abc, faygo cola, peach trees, and grape Skittles got it good with cross braces that came loose and fell on em and about 3-4 others that are 90 degreed over including the tall sativa chillen on one of the sides right now
wow man that is like the ultimate heart breaker. I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully most are salvageable. I didn’t even know we were supposed to get hit this hard. Last thing I need is any more damage to this house from these monsoon season storms. I haven’t been outside since we strapped everything down and hunkered inside. Hoping nothing is too beat up. It got pretty bad. I hope this was the most of it.
Ya most definitely, almost feels like all the pics this morning were “before” pics when I finally go out there and assess the damage, plants are resilient though and my recipes keeps em strong but this is really gonna test their might, amazingly the only actually damage wasn’t from the storm persay but the unstrapped parts of my structure I should have removed knowing the storm risk. stems are holding up from the water weight but not snapping and the wind is only stressing them bending them over but not completely snapping em in half, really glad i got a shit ton of silica in on the last veg tea cuz i think thats what’s helping them withstand the pounding
This is no ordinary storm or monsoon season, this is the outer tip of hurricane Hillary, were just getting a small taste of it, this is suppose to continue on till Monday night with Sunday being the most violent, reality is this weekend has just begun so when u got ur calm parts of the day mark my words, hunker down what u can. I’ll be throwing up another 2ft of walls on each back side of the greenhouse and trying to repair any salvageable damage I can as it happens
@Rena93 , welcome, thank you & woot woot!!!
It allows for a topical to become transdermal. So anything it in will get into your bloodstream so you can get high from a rubdown… or very ill if you allow for contamination with toxins.
I got a bottle of it in the “garden lab” for making the pain creams.
Sounds both incredible AND super dangerous! @Rhai88 @Rena93 @Pigeonman do you guys have any recipes or at least guidance on how much of what you would mix together? I feel like it could get out of hand quick. A nice targeted backrub, and the next thing you know BAM. Just laying there all fucked up
@Rena93 and I have been using about 16g trim or flower(depending on you stock of cannabis) to 1 and a 1/2 cups of organic coconut oil.
We use a levo for us since we dont need massive batches but you could scale this up in a crockpot.
once the oil is made we transfer it to a glass beaker and do a double boil over the stove to add in our beeswax.
I add in about 20ml of beeswax per 100ml of oil. You can add more like 25ml of the beeswax if you’re in a hotter climate. Keeps the mixture a little more solid and not so oily.
Once all your beeswax is incorporated and dissolved I then take it off the boil and add in my essential oils. You can add whatever you like but we’ve been using spearmint and eucalyptus. We usually do about 20 to 50 drops per 100ml of oil. Depending on how much you want your essential oils to pop.
Then finally I add in my DMSO. at 12ml per 100ml of oil.
After your all mixed up I pour into my final containers and let set.
Disclaimer: Always remember clean hands/body when applying anything with DMSO!!! Make sure to do your own research on this to be sure it’s something you want to use. This is just what I personally do for us. I’m not telling you all what to do!
Those are our two favorites as well! Bought the eucalyptus mint lotion from bath and bodyworks like 15 years ago and it just clicked! So ever since we’ve been doing our own stuff with those oils. Drop it on to wool dryer balls, salves, ect. We also like citrus and have orange and lemon we put in our homemade washing machine soap.
Thanks for the in depth recipe! Will give me a good excuse to finally use my crazy old, all glass double boiler!
Thanks for the recipe @Rhai88 , duly bookmarked
Tea tree oil helps with inflammation and skin issues seems like it would be good addition. Thanks for recipe never thought of beeswax to help hold consistency in the heat.
Very careful…can cause toxic reactions in some people…,and can cause toxicity from what you add it to if you add too much!
Also- if you are allergic to Sulfa drugs, you will be allergic to DMSO.
A couple years ago while wrestling a big plant into a scrog net out in the greenhouse I split the fucker right in two… about 10 inches of so of main stem right down to the dirt.
I grabbed some string and immediately tied it back together and crisscrossed it down along the break and back up again. The plant survived the season but about 3weeks after the break I had to start removing the string because it was starting to bite in as the stem was getting thicker. It did stunt yield there’s no question, but she lived.
I have read and seen pics of some traditional growing techniques that grow thier landrace plants to a certain size and then smash them down to the ground. The plants survive and actually thrive after the procedure and branches with contact to the ground start growing a whole nuther root system.
They are weeds after all but it is heart breaking to see nature take it’s wrath out on your plants like that.
Just out of curiosity…
Has anyone had issues with envelopes from me as of lately?
I’ve been messaged about 4 times this week from different OGs who have had seeds go missing out of envelopes but stickers showing up and or have had damaged/tampered with evidence.
I’ve recently switched to pucks in mylar bags and it’s been a rough going it seems like.
If anyone hasn’t recieved their packs from me please reach out. I will replace them for you. They won’t stop me! I’ll get your winnings to you!
Happy Saturday ladies and gentleman!
