Seeds that didn’t sprout... the graveyard 🪦

Okay.
Thank you.

I’m assuming dead but holding on.

I have begun germination of same genetics and count.

Can you recommend a solid medium for the next batch?

I must have got lucky my first run from seed over the summer.

I have BX soil and perlite , I just wet It and mixed it up. Not soaked.
Possibly too wet and too hard to break through.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated

I just had these disgusting vermin on some cuttings.
It was the first time I ever saw things crawling on a dampened off clone.
-I’ve had plenty of dampened off clones over the years…
Was wondering what they were. Thank you for sharing

I use HP with no added perlite. 1L yogurt containers. Soak once, sprits the top every couple of days to make sure they’re still moist.

10 days is not unheard of. If they are chilly it takes longer.

I just leave them alone in the dark a bit colder than is probably ideal.

Usually when I dig them up I feel stupid because they’re alive and should have just been left alone.

All the best.

Right on!
I just got a heated mat from Walmart for seeds /sprouts

Could of got.it on Amazon for cheaper but $30 for the little seeds is fine for me .

I will review ur protocols later !

Thanks

I’ve had 100% germination rate since starting to use a heat pad, though I haven’t tried any 10+ year seeds or anything… still, very useful. Does that one come with a temperature controller, though? If not, it’s possible it might overheat and kill them, since it just stays on all the time. They do best at about 80-85F, in my experience.

My word !! Thank you.

No controller lol

May have to put on a wifi timer and cycle it on for 10 minutes every 60 minutes or smt.

Good looking out !!!

Try putting two pencils on the heat pad then your seed tray on top of those to create a gap to dissipate some heat.
