Interesting Cornell University animation relating to damping off, and touches on sterilized media and vermi-compost as well around 3:45 in video. Not all vermi/compost are equal though, and is more reason to have your own worm bin where you can have oversight of quality and inputs.

Yes the large 5KG/11 lb bricks….I’ve found Botanicare Cocotek seems to be the highest quality and least expensive…but haven’t used them in years!
But…have been using this lately…they have their own issues but I got from another commercial grower for about $4 each!! Bahahaha Think it was 50 blocks for $200…couldn’t pass on the deal!!

Last year I bought a bag if soil that was sitting outside and ended up with soil mites crawling all over my hands and arms every time I touched my pots or plants… No more lol, if the bags are outside I don’t want them.
