SOLSTRIPS UK (q&a)

My thoughts were that an external driver besides slightly reducing heat in the grow space also lets the user easily chose what driver they want.

 you could have a couple of 4mm rivnuts with the bolts in them on the top somewhere for the optional driver mount.

hmmm I wonder how Solstrip AU would fairā€¦

Iā€™d have thought led lighting would be even more popular in a hot country bro but i suppose you have air conditioning already in most places eh.

@Albannach it was the intention that they were remote so people could choose the option of driver. Thereā€™s a lot of confusion here. So in the simplest of terms. You could have it on or in or out lol.
I appreciate what youā€™re saying about the riv nuts too @Pedro_Bann bro. But all drivers vary in size so that would have to be left to the user.

I would have thought due to heat LED would already be the way. And as for solstrips au. I reckon you would smash it. Not a cheap do setting up though lol

Nothing a couple of zip ties wouldnā€™t fix anyway, yeh I didnā€™t think of them being different sizes.

well if I invested a penny in it and didnt sell many or any I would need to deck out a whole house or two and make use of them

Haha, so Cola has a ā€˜Casinoā€™ set up all over the jointā€¦
Hey bud I catch up with this thread, but I donā€™t have a clue about some of the stuff you all talk about but im kinda learning names etc but the maths and joules n all the electric is where I am lostā€¦
Why not try a couple of hydroponics shops, see if they are interested in the mini sun etc ( take a pre-built one in and see what they think.? I know you work beside one but try othersā€¦ just a thought.( probably/maybe the wrong market I just tossing ideas :bulb: out thereā€¦
Anyway best of British to @Robin and yourself.

Itā€™s not my fault if our wonderful and esteemed customers wish to send me rather large samples of the fruit of their labour bro  if thereā€™s anything specific you wanna know about the electrics. You just got to ask. I kind of prefer not having to distribute via a hydro shop. The loss of profit we would need to take for them to be happy would need to be gained again elsewhere and that would be the people we like most. Our fellow growers lol.
If any hydro shop owners want a personal light. Well they can shout me too

Lucky you on the samples front, lil ole me gotta gotta smoke :zipper_mouth_face:my own lol (awww.!) , tho i wouldnā€™t mind if anyone had an abundance & felt the need for me to test it with them, NOT at all .!
Naw bro nothing specific i need to ask but cheers for offeringā€¦
Iā€™ll talk to you later on mate ,
Happy growing

Hi @FlippyNips
@Robin here, how you doing bro  Taking your comments on board, please could you have another look, ive added some obvious links to the shop and reduced the category layers on the lights so you get to your choices quickerā€¦ I have also moved the solstix, strips and sinks up a couple of layers so you can now get directly to solstrips etcā€¦as a product direct from the components categoryā€¦and the homepage and the shop page
Thanks for your feedback, we are still very much work in progress, any other feedback welcomedā€¦

Good evening OG family. For the usual suspects in my daily meanderings. I havenā€™t been being ignorant. Iā€™ve been dropping likes and building lights.

This one specifically. 450x300mm this is a little beastly baby that pushes 200w run hard. And i like it enough to make it a readily available fixture. Ā£399 RRP
Ā£349 to OG members. (Please let an OG member buy it I wanna see what it can actually do)

Another custom light to start tomorrow

Now that is very neat bro and a bargain at only 349 quid. If i could not build my own iā€™d have the cash transferred to you before it could even cool down

Iā€™m barely making a bean on it. But loss of profit to establish a reputation is fine by me. @Robin is cool as fuck too. Weā€™re winging it so far but every sale will help us growā€¦and hopefully our customers too

Itā€™s a lovely little dinky thing this. Still packs a decent punch Iā€™d tackle a 2x2ft or even 80x80cm tent with this. (Some people may disagree)

Yeh man that looks like a great little rig to me. A small tent and one of those could seriously produce the goods i recon. Someone will get a bargain here.

Good morning you beautiful bunch.
Original solstix rack time.
I was asked to make one initially with a view to make another 3 (to cover a 4m x 50cm propagation/cutting space)

800x450mm
2x3500k
3x5000k

So 4400k across the board.

No wifi no frills. Minimal weight and can push 50 to 200w a rack. @Baudelaire the fancy lights are great for right through and to minimize the risk of stupidity ending somebody prematurely lol. But credit where itā€™s due. The rack will be timeless.

Im pretty certain once this customer has seen what this does. They will be back for the other 3 in no time.

Stix. Take your pick Ā£30. Get them all fucked off. Too many other peoples pockets being lined along the way for us to make anything with these anyway.

Word to any UK growers on here that have been struggling with the heat lately, check out the long range forecast! They are predicting a long hot summer so if you donā€™t take @anon58740919 up on his offer you might well regret it.
