My health stopped me for about a month brother. Haha

For real, I need to get this done. I canā€™t have another 5 year project on my hands. Hope to have the funds to order all this drywall in the next week or so.

Just seeing this brother and I definitely understand having been on so many different medication combinations myself, if I can ever offer even just an ear to listen or anything let me know my friend!

Youā€™ve been one of several OGs encouraging me through my troubles so much I canā€™t help but offer the same back to you at the least!

Spent the day rebuilding part of my goat shelter. Iā€™m worn the H out. Feels frigging great getting something done! Iā€™ve been out of sorts since that covid got me down. Iā€™m gaining back my strength though. I spent 5 1/2 hours at it today. Thatā€™s worlds better than I could even last week.
So Yay!!!

Definitely agree on that last sentence. I have been through at least 2-3 radically different sleep schedules/styles in my life, but Iā€™ve always figured out how to be somewhat productive, but the restrictions of society certainly donā€™t help

Way back in my middle school days we got taken to meramec springs and I remember the old heads having some weird bread and corn goop they wrapped around the hook like the catfish bait pellets. I think they used chicken liver juices to help stick the goop together but those trout went wild for it. Used to go fishing everyday with my buddy from Hawaii when we were in culinary school together. Usually we were catching more of a buzz than any fish but a few times we caught some monster alligator gar and were too fucked up to attempt to get the hook and cut the lines. That was fishing in the Mississippi River off chateau Island what they call the chain of rocks. Beautiful place! One time we were drinking and fishing we had a Vietnamese guy there who would come out everyday and share his crowded scraps with us. Im not sure if this dude knew how to cook lol. He caught a big fish idk what kind and we would bring our knives, grill, seasoning, and a lemon in case we caught catfish we would cook them. He asked to use our grill we are like yeah whatever. Turn around he just throws the WHOLE FISH on the grill and it flopped off multiple times. When it was finally ready he was trying to get everything to eat this fish he didnā€™t descale or gut and cooked alive! No one wanted to touch it its like wtf you doing lmao!

Beautiful. You have an artistic soul bro. What a shame those old bridges are becoming a thing of history.

Itā€™s hilarious what some cultures do with fish! Iā€™ve had my mind blown a few times, one guy ate the eyeballs! Loved em too! Another ate LEGIT raw fish, heā€™d catch ā€˜em, cut off a chunk (with skin) and chew on it!! Was absolutely insane! Every opener , every year heā€™d be there, and heā€™d have fish in his mouth or his cooler, raw :face_vomiting:, then thereā€™s the ones that throw the whole fish on like thatā€¦. I guess itā€™s just how they were taught but Iā€™m with ya Iā€™ll eat it my way thanks.

A lot of Filipinos love fish head soup. It comes with the head in the bowl so you can eat the eyes and cheeks. My wife understands that Iā€™m not a fan so she doesnā€™t make it but her mom and grandma love it. Thereā€™s a lot of crazy ways to eat fish but Iā€™m a fry it in hot grease in a cast iron skillet guy personally.

Iā€™ve actually heard of it, I didnā€™t know it actually had the head in there. Definitely run into culture shock sometimes with food, happened to me many times. Itā€™s probably delicious tbh, just the way itā€™s prepared scares me/us lol . Iā€™m with you on that brother! Little lemon, some seasoningā€¦.

Anyone up for some Lutefisk? itā€™s a form of whitefish (traditionally cod) that is air dried until hard. Then, the fish is softened by soaking it in water and lye for quite a length of time before consuming. The texture becomes gelatinous after soaking in the lye solution.
Yummmm!

It was in a can like sardines and when he opened it up it cleared out the whole shop we were working in. I have dropped chili farts that werenā€™t that potent lol.

I was once fishing on the banks in the cityā€¦sewage dumped in the river and all thisā€¦anyway, guy down the bank was keeping what he was catching. All goodā€¦do what you want, right!? He was gutting and cleaning as he was catching. When we were leaving he caught this nice catfishā€¦he landed it and gutted itā€¦and there, cut out of this fishes stomach was???..a used condom. Buddy finished cleaning in and threw it in the take-home bucket.
I just hope he doesnā€™t own a restaurant.
