I was wondering if I can transplant my seedlings that were started in soil into coco. Like straight up just put it, soil and all around the root ball, into coco and feed it bottled nutes. Any tips?
Yeah, that’s what “soilless” means. You’re essentially growing hydroponically, but using a solid medium instead of water alone.
if the soil is from outside or not clean you will introducing contaminations.
I have seedlings in cups of soil currently. Can I transplant those into coco when it’s time to transplant?
IS the soil in the cups new from a bag? or from outside?
It’s fresh from a bag
yeah your fine.
Personally I would rather build a good soil up with the coir as a base.
But you sure can just use bottled nutrients to keep them happy.
I took clones of dirt plants or grew them out until I could, clones got put into coco and the remaining dirt plants went to the chickens.
As of rn I’ll be feeding with bottled nutes in soil unless I decide to drop them in coco. I could grow them out in soil and then sex/clone and then coco
You can transplant into anything you’d like, I use whatever’s on hand, lately been starting in Roots Original, then moving into peat based mix in larger pots, tho i do ammend everything with dry admendments/nutes for water only grows…
