Water: RO/rain/ground/distilled - your opinions?

Take an extra clone next cycle and water it exclusively with the trace mineral infused water to see how your plant reacts before using it on your whole garden.

Thanks again.

Sound advise for certain.

Maybe I should do the same with my Fred Flintstone experiment.

I think it’s about 7 bucks each. I use this one-gallon freestanding model on my well water:

3 hours…Hmmm.

Ph corrected slightly.

And no change next morning.

So, I pH corrected and watered some very thirsty plants.

We’ll see what happens. :eyes:

the amount of waste water RO systems create is ridiculous and vastly outweighs any benefits over tap water imho, unless you have extremely bad water but even then i think there’s better options than using RO

using maxibloom with tap water in coco/perlite under LEDs i’ve never had to supplement calmag

My tap water is probably why I haven’t had to supplement Cal-Mag while using MegaCrop in Coco as well.

I agree completely! I think too many people resort to RO water and filters when they could be just fine using tap water. RO water is wasteful of potable water, and energy.

Thinking I’m learning the same lesson. Is this what your plants looked like? I’ve been using RO water without adding nutrients back. I’m about to start doing it now. Any advice?

I have well water, ph is slightly high but my little plants are frying on all new growth. I wonder if there could be too many dissolved solids? I have zero filters set up.

I use tap water, mine is pretty much perfect, 40ppm 6.8ph it’s good to go right out of the faucet.
