What's your preferred light schedule for clones/seedlings/germinating?

They certainly look happy; even if they are still sporting their old beat-up chuck taylors,

Do you supplement any nutrition needs while they’re in solo’s?

I’ve got a cheap HydroFarm Lux metre I can do some side by sides at various distances with my that and my apogee in PM if you want some ballpark numbers under various common bulbs or fixtures

I used coco before this and I supplied half strength. These are in soil,-peat and I used water the first few times before they had their real leaves. Just winging it.

Hey that’s awesome, thank you! I’ll definitely keep you in mind, got my eye on a few garden items that just may have to go on my Christmas wish list…

I’m liking 24hr till flower right now, especially in the winter. MH in the veg tent will keep the grow room nice and warm even when the lights go out in the flower tent.

24/7 under two 24w CFLs until I see root tips emerging from the peat pellets then into seed starting mix in small pots. I change to 18/6 after they’ve got two sets of true leaves.

I’ve done:

Water in a cup - changed daily (hated it. NEVER AGAIN!)

Home made bubble cloner with a bucket/lid and airstones. (worked well but only if i want to do many clones at once)

Net-pots filled with perlite + drip emitters + solution with pump (worked, had the parts laying around and was bored. Never did it again)

PERSONAL FAV: peat pellets: soak, make hole, take cuttings/trim/scrape/rooting gel or powder/place into hole, SQEEZE tight; place on prop. tray with dome/ keep warm/wipe down dome interior of all drops every morning/spray undersides of leaves then shake before putting back every day for the first few days/ eventually i creep open the vents until full open but still use the dome until they go into however I decided to grow em’ :hugs:

The jiffy pellet’s used to be my go to for cloning, but likewise I threw together a cheap bubble cloner and consequently haven’t looked back. I’ve been getting roots in 10 days compared to the 16+ days I was waiting with the pellets and pucks for some reason (probably my own doing…)

These were after 14 days; they took a bit longer I figure because I took them after the plant had already been in flower for a couple weeks.

I just really like the lack of attention I’m afforded with these diy bubble cloners; hell I don’t even dome the cuttings, I may mist them as I peak in every so often though.

I need to make a good bubble cloner. Also a rosin press, more lights,…

I’m a diy’er, but I stopped short of the rosin press. $400 on amazon was worth it. I love squishing flower!

I just had to buy the cartridge heaters and had most everything else. Just to find time now.

Are you taking about the rosin press?

Yes.

Seedlings/clones/veg are all done with 24/7 light. I only have one area with a shelf to do all that in, so there isn’t any light blockage from clone/seedling or veg.
I prefer the jiffy pellets or rooter plugs over aero style cloners. I did a comparison with my buddy back in the day, we put in cuttings on the same day, his took several days more to show the start of roots. By the time his were rooting, I was planting all of mine. The cuts all came from the same plant, but we did the “test” in different locations. Thinking back, it could of been his stronger lights that caused them to root slower than mine.

Ah yes sorry, heating rods, I follow now.

How many tons did you go for? I was really on the fence for a while between 6 and 10 ton.

I think I have a 10 ton. More than needed but the other one is a 2 ton.

24/7 first 3 weeks then down to 19/5 until flower.
Flower 11/13 or somewhere in between

How long have you been doing the 11/13 ?
I already know it’s successful, can see in your pics.
IF you say so, I do so, never ever, seen it before.

I have done this light cycle on my last few grows. Plants seem to like it
