I dont want to use airstones.
I need to floom a rain water barell with the size of around 500 liters or 130 gallons.
And then I need to floom also a 150 liter reservoir or around 40 gallons.
I am not really sure what pump (specs) I should choose for flooming.
Also how often I need to floom.
Any recommendation?
Can I use my flooming pumps also for mixing the nutrients?
Really u can’t go too big unless u start pushing water out of the top lol. I use a magdrive 9.5 for mixing/flooming a 50 gallon rez. Would probably work for ur large rez too.
As for how often, if temp isn’t a concern keep her running.
That pump pushes like 650 gph. So for ur big rez a half hr would b plenty.
It is a magdrive 9.5 or 6.5?
Because the magdrive 9.5 moves 950 gph.
It doesn’t make a fountain?
Yea sorry I was talking about the 9.5 but I was looking at the wrong head height for gph.
It visibly lifts the top if the water but I don’t have a gusher. If I want to use it in a smaller res I put a fan speed controller on the water pump so I can slow it down and not throw water everywhere - cuz I’ve done that once lol
