Nutrient Pump Efficiency - How to leave less nutrients behind

Hello OG’s,

I’m testing out a drip setup with a 15g barrel and a VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump. So far the pump is working as anticipated, my only issue is as the water level drops and the pump is eventually unable to pump anymore liquids to the plants. Placing a brick under one side of the barrel tilting the liquid towards the pump intake helps a bit to increase the amount of liquid pumped out, but im searching for more ideas.

I imagine some folks just cant be bothered and toss out whatever nutrients the pump couldnt deliver, remix another batch of nutrients, then add back to the barrel and move on. That being said, if you have any modification ideas for the pump or the barrel or maybe something else i have overlooked, please let me know.

Thanks again for your time and info.

Thank you both for the responses. Seems like a dif pump is the best solution.
