16oz Cup Manifold Contest

Cool! I have one in a 20 ounce cup and looks beautiful. I always wondered about quality restricting the roots like that. Do you think it takes them longer to finish being restricted like that?

Still trying to get the deficiencies under control, ready to flip any time otherwise.

The other three plants will get their base soon enough, none of them have grown nearly as evenly as this one. Really regretting the fact I neglected the cuttings, all of them failed from staying too wet/humid in my dome. Some mold started to grow on the stems.

I gotta snap a couple pics tomorrow when lights turn on in room, but need some guidance, been confused when looking at diagram for 2nd stage of manifold. Hoping I didn’t frig anything up.

Last plant looks great.sorry about the clones.if you got one plant you really like leave a few bud sites on at harvest trim back the roots add some fresh soil and reveg it.

I’ve reveged one plant before lol. I still have close to 10 seeds for these, but being f2 there should be multiple phenos. So far in this group of 4, I see 2, maybe three based on branching habit. The leaves on the other three look about the same to me. With plant number three originally being the most vigorous. The “runt pheno” is def smaller than the others, but clearly the best suited for this type of training. Too bad it makes one plant take up so much space lol. Granted, two or three full sized plants done this way will fill a tent nicely, without the constant tucking of a full on proper scrog. Plus bigger colas instead of donkey dicks.

Well worth the wait… hopefully i can get this new comp a same result. seeing as the mother fem pollen is forbidden fruit. pictures later to follow

I have learned so much watching all of you attempt this method. Looking forward to giving it a go!

Is the method similar with clones?

Similar, but it won’t be completely uniform. With mature plants, the nodes are alternating so your not going to get as even growth on the nodes. When you make the chop down to the “third” node, they will be offset a bit. You’ll want to gently bed the stem so the top node is even with the lower one.

Oh good, you got the rest of the plant!
I’m equally amazed how well this plant takes to this technique, and the manifold training base has worked exactly as I imagined (to my surprise). I’m saving pollen if it’s a male, if not… I’m prob going to seed it with a brother or any crazy pollen I may end up getting by that time. I’ll have 8 colas to individually hit with pollen and still have a sample to taste lol. But we are going on two months veg here… are these nutrient deficiencies just an overall sign of root binding? The water still gets soaked up and doesn’t just run right out, so it can’t be that bad yet lol.

What strain? Collecting pollen or already chopped?
