Read the thread. @Qtip said he/she did it and there weren’t any adverse effects. Still, I wouldn’t try it. Doesn’t make any sense.

Public pool? Please, man… I have a pool in my backyard, no need for public pools. And it’s an in-ground pool, too. None of that white trash above-ground shit for me…

I don’t have a tiger striped speedo, but I do have a camouflage one haha! It’s a long story, but I wore it for my Halloween costume one year so that I could make fun of somebody else who was attending the party I was going to. Again, long story haha.

Most people on this thread writing the guy off based on his name and hair. I found him to be quite knowledgeable and stand up 100%. He does acknowledge his failings, but who out there highlights them, especially as a breeder.

No and I wouldn’t I can’t see how that could be beneficial either. I also think the plant would reveg all you are doing is confusing it. If you know anything about nature you would know that cannabis is ripe around September or October when growing outdoors which means less sunlight. So I cannot understand how putting them back on 18-6 for the last week would help.

Final 2 weeks always adds weight.
Stress and UV induces trichomes.
I believe dry cool air and dark period will reduce risks of just adding fibres and leafyness ive witnessed during a late reveg.
2 weeks is far from enough time to see reveg that late ime.

No one article makes a side in a discussion.

As I read this, and it is a bit dated now, 2018 or so, and it openly states the study is more about green house crop production.
The science of it states a few times 18/6 is a vegetative state, what I’ll call the last veg time step, as 24/0 works, 20/4.
As I build a root mass, (cracking seeds) I use 24/0, as I veg them out usually 2 months, then I’ll start to reduce the on hours, to more off hours. Working down to 18/6.
When I flower my plants, 12/12 or 11/13 the transition takes like 3-4 weeks for full budlet formation.
At the same time, food variables take place also, reduce N values, increase P/K values, along with light manipulation. Chemicals and light timing are needed to facilitate that change.
Now we ride the flower train for what another 6+ weeks or to whatever the maturity the strain needs?
Now, at the end of the life cycle, unless your re-vegging, a claim is made that by reveging a plant, makes it better?
What drives the chemical reaction from the timed light source to the root mass builds better buds?
I’m not seeing or understanding any science behind this claim myself. I am willing to read anyone papers on the subject.

Some really disappointing ignorance being put on displayed in this thread… and I’m not referring to the OP or their growing style. Unfortunate. Rasta Jeff is a solid guy who is well respected throughout the community by many prevalent breeders and cultivators. A man with close to 700 podcast episodes where all he does is answer questions, share knowledge and try to help people become better growers. 32K IG subscribers, 62K Canna Buzz subscribers and close to 10K Youtube subs… A guy with a reputable seed company called Irie Genetics and a cult following that call themselves “The Irie Army” who started their own Discord server to literally only talk about him and his genetics who he inspired to spread his msg and help others just like he has helped them. The amount of ppl he helps in his day to day and the positive attitude and way he displays his love for this plant was made a mockery from a few very ignorant individuals here. I implore anyone to do a bit of researching about him and maybe a little bit of soul searching after some of the more spiteful and quite frankly racist comments that were made here.

Thanks @NorthNorthNugs, on a purely anecdotal level it really did seen to add bulk to the buds. I think Jeff is legit and knowledgeable but there’s definitely some hate for these techniques but he applies these methods for both seed and bud for his seed company and commercial operations he consults on; someone has done ROI analytics if not full on scientific research. I appreciate you reading through the post.

I agree but something inside me wants to try it lol. Just like turning your lights off for 48 hours before harvest been doing it for 15 years and dont know why i do it i just do it.
