7 weeks into 1st indoor grow

I’ve had my 5 clones for 2 weeks now and they are looking good.

Setup:
5’x5’ grow tent
large carbon filter
1000w air cooled light w ballast
8" inline fan outtake

they are in 1 gallons right now I am preparing to move to 5 galloon tomorrow
i also have my ballast set to 75% now but will go 100% next week
my temp stays between 66 at night and has touched 82 during a hot day
humidity has been ranging between 35-60%

this is my first time growing so any suggestions based on what i listed would be cool.

I remember my first grow. If you need any help don’t hesitate to ask.

Good luck, sounds like your heading in the right direction.

everythings looking good forsure:)

I am at 4 weeks exactly and have plants at 3.5 feet in 5 gallon pots.
Im preparing to switch out my bulb and adjust timer to 12/12 this evening.

Should I consider cutting more of the fan leaves at the bottom?

I am also experiencing a few leaves on 2 plants that are growing only a few 3 and 4 finger leaves instead of a typical 5 fingers.

All looks good to me. The only thing i could see is a little fan damage on the one twisty leaf plant. If it isn’t fan damage then you have a PH drift showing up. The three and four leaf thing is normal in young plants they will grow out of it.

Can anybody explain to our friend @waterboy174 how leaves “foliolos” numbers first rise durin veg, to finally “return in a count down” durin flo? Its so much to my English, Im afraid…

Basically the plant will throw out a few leaves while young with three or four blades and as it matures the blade count increases up to nine or more. As you start to flower (stretch winds down) or outdoors it reaches full maturity the blade count starts to decrease and internodes get closer together. I wanted to find a better description than mine with pictures but couldn’t. I know they’re out there if you want to look.

The KC-36 I grew once upon a time had single-lobed leaves about 20cm in length for most of its veg cycle. Turned out fine, nothing to worry about with lobe count

2 weeks into flowering and they’re looking great…
I have no idea about what my final yield should be. I got 5 plants.

lookin good, you wont know your yeild untill youve grown the same pheno several times. even then itll vary a bit

Everything is beautiful! I don’t see any problems so far. My only suggestion is to make sure the leaves aren’t touching the tent walls. Good job.

Ya I got a super lemon haze that’ll pop out single leaf sets but I’ve also had strains that had as many as 13-17 leaf sets so it’s all in the genetics and really doesn’t affect the quality.

As for yield, I personally have stopped trying to guess yields cause it doesn’t really matter lol… you get what you get… if you just keep your eyes on them and make sure they’re healthy till the end then you’ll get as much as you possibly can with your setup and then you can always try to improve upon it as grows go on. :+1:

Three weeks into flower and the buds are really starting to grow.
As this round is preparing to come to a finish i’m thinking about drying and curing and if its worth it to build out a nearby closet and add ducting to it dry/cure or if i should just use my tent for 3-4 weeks as my dry/cure chamber.
What kinds of ways do you guys use to dry and cure?
I almost just want to build a 4x4 box on top of my tent with rotating fan and air intake but im looking for ideas and pictures

I am working out the kinks for a dedicated dry closet. Right now i have three spots i use at depending on what is going on. Two aren’t totally dark and the bud lightens in color. The third is a grow area that i can’t use every time. It is totally dark and filters the smell, it is much better. I love for my buds to stay pretty.

Every time ive dried ive used a humidifier in a closet with a fan. No real ventilation cept the cracks of the closet doors. Usualy around 40 or 50rh. I jar them when the buds feel crispy on the outside. Up here its dry dry dryyyyyyy. Takes about 3-5days till i jar. Its not how long you dry for its when you jar them. I always say. Jar them early and you can always dry them morw (just be careful) but you cant come back from being too dry

I wouldn’t cut any sun leaves. They turn light into product. Plant will drop leaves on its own when needed. 1 way i would quick dry( only when needed ) u would get cardboard box, unpainted, lay on its side so opened to front , towards the top U would run a string across from side to side and hang enough to get me by untill the rest was ready. Dont think i would do hole crop like this cause if a little cardboard flavor x over. Cut dry time in 1/2 .
