Things are cooking in the veg tent. 2’ x 4’ of too much.
I finally got the Vypr all set up correctly with a dimmer unit (definitely need this) so as soon as the last HPS run is done, a few of these will go over for the first test run in the upgraded flower tent.
Two cubing projects (11 plants) , an official test (6 plants) and an unofficial test (2 plants) = 19 plants.
Of my own crosses, this one has me the most enthusiastic. Over the top sweetness with light fruitiness. Right near the top of my current grow, bar none. I am about to harvest my first of this cross which is seeded and ready to carry these flavors forward. These two are ahead of the next seeding, so they will just have to be run without seed .
This plant is a good example of not judging a book by its cover. The buds are OK, not terribly interesting and average in aroma. Earthy with a little nutmeg. But the rosin is a sweet cherry and almonds. This and the Agent 99 above are my first efforts at back crossing. I’ll hope for a couple of very robust males on this run.
I’m just as cautious, but only because I’ve been “burned” before.
My thinking is that this is a tropical-temperate sub canopy plant, so there is such thing as too much light.
Except your gdp, it seems to eat up direct sunlight with no issue whatsoever.
I’ll be moving them under cobs before long .
