Damn what a horror! So very sorry for you and your familyās loss.
I watched our home burn when I was 12 years old. I get it.

Did you determine what started the fire at least it wasnāt the grow room causing it.

An Update.
Itās been 5 days since the fire and I just rolled off the air mattress after sleeping for more than 2 hrs for the first time.
First let me thank everyone for their words of support. We find comfort in the kindred spirits across the globe that have expressed concern.
The Fire started with the car. We had come home from a short errand. It started in the engine compartment. It was ferocious.
An hour after it was out, I about cut a finger off in the rubble and went to the hospital to get it stitched back on. It will be a permanent reminder of the day.
Help came from family and friends salvaging and searching. I have a smokey wet photo album in my single tote of recovered items that I cherish.
Our most uplifting moment came on the second day when our other cat poked her head through a hole and walked out. She was shaking but fine. Half of my leaf muncher crew made it.
We are staying with family and just starting the process of recovery. The Red Cross has helped. I ran out the house in boxers and bare feet.
Everything is up from here.
Quite literally the only thing left unscathed is my collection of plants which are being boarded at the rescue ranch.
It will be a tough road. But I am persistent.

Al if I may ask make, model and year of vehicle?
My money is on a fuel leak at fuel injector or rail. Iām surprised a passerby didnāt notice before it engulfed the house unless your a ways from a neighbor or passing traffic.

Possibly. A dodge journey
Chrysler-is issuing a recall-for 2011-through-2015 Dodge Journey with the 2.4-liter, four-cylinder engine. The decorative engine cover may disengage from its retainers and move around inside the engine bay. In the event the cover contacts the exhaust manifold, it can lead to a fire in the engine bay.

My friend , reading this brought a tear to my eye no joke, Iām so sorry for your losses all around, but so thankful you are here to post this, truly. What a devastating fire , and so quick. I even thought I donāt know, I can only imagine how you are feeling rate now about all the losses you have suffered. Especially for your kitty

It was a 2010 Dodge Journey. I have heard there are several problems since this happened and others that have experienced a fire with them.
In fact 2 days ago another one caught fire here in town.
I will pursue this soon.
