It was kind of a joke and kinda true too, if you were in the US you would probably get it.
Sorry for my poor taste in humor.
Don’t, i’m happy to learn another angle. Even the dark side ^^
After the article i’m a bit stunned by the source of the joke, in such a large scale dang. Here most of our traditionnal/regional recipes are pretty fat, olestra things are like a blasphema
So I’ve known about chitosan and increased trichomes production for a while now, and have read a couple articles on its use in tomatoes for stress response and yield improvements as well as possibly flavonoids, but I just came across this interesting article on it reducing water usage while maintaining biomass and yield in pepper crops, super interesting.
I have a 4L bottle of Hyshield from Hygrozyme so it looks like my whole veggie garden will be getting foliar sprays all season, especially during any heat waves or the hottest part of the summer with the way chitosan effects the stomata
Super cool stuff
Keep in mind that too much chitosan can affect yield.
There is always a trade off with stress and biomass.
Chitosan works best as a foliar spray.
im honestly dumb and get to understand via the new perspectives i gain from this discusdion like i understand basics about this but the more you expand the better i understand
