Since I became aware of B.O.G. seeds and started doing some research I felt like it was only right to want to have some of these strains in my collection. So now I have a few and thought before I decided to grow one we might have a discussion about the various B.O.G. strains.
For those of you who have grown some of the BOG strains do you have a favorite and why?
I’m hoping I’ll be able to contribute an answer to you after a couple more growing seasons Got a few BOG strains on the way to me soon.
BOG is one of the growers I knew a little about before joining OG. In fact I came across his “bonanza of green” online about a decade ago and I’ve been dreaming about having a similar system ever since. It’s clear that he left a big impact on this place and is one of the main sources for the “OGTWWL” attitude. That alone is a good enough reason for me to seek out his legacy genetics.
I got my first BOG seeds from a pack of Medley #3. Sour Stawberry, Blue Moon Rocks and lifesaver and lsd.
since it was a mix pack I could only guess what was what. SSK was outstanding and is still in my grow today about a decade later. there was one more plant that was freakin awsome but only ran it once and took no cuts:( I always suspected it was lifesaver but after looking for it again, i think LSD. This one plant had me only looking outside of my mind pondering all things in my perifrial and nothing inside. trippy visuals and inhanced hearing…unique to say the least.
I got some Sour Bubble from an fundraiser. supposed to be bx3. There was some good coffee mocha plants And some medeocre but still unique plants. i ran both bogbubble and his bubble gum…Good to great results.
I stocked up in 2016 and again in 2019.
Next ime I break out his gear, making seeds will be a must, can’t replace his work…

Is there a list of all B.O.G. strains somewhere with descriptions? Now that would be fun to read through. Are BOG seeds still available to buy today and if so would there be a question of their viability?
There are a number of places with good BOG strain descriptions. I think there is a bog seeds website with strain descriptions. Seeds here now used to have excellent descriptions, but they are gone. I believe shn still has many lines in stock. I get the feeling that his son is still producing some of the lines.
I’ve grown Sour Bubble, Sour Grape, and Blue Moon Rocks from F1’s. I don’t think I did them much justice. I’d probably like them more if I grew them now. I still have the mostly full F1 packs.
Oh excellent @cannaloop I appreciate that. Usually I just pull up @DougDawson journals and find the BOG info. Looking at that list I see I need to look into finding some LSD seeds as they are the only sativa dominant strain on the list.
There is a bit of murkiness in the story’s through the years… what I can say for sure is those came from BOG packs that I got from him and Pat directly.
