Best 800-1000w LED Grow Light 2024?

I’m currently running 650w floraflex LED’s looking to upgrade the wattage.
What’s the best light out there currently as there so many on the market!

When the day comes to replace my lights (If I can ever afford to lol) I’m gonna go with specgrade. With how many issues I’ve had with my current ones, longevity is very important to me and they offer a pretty good warranty to give me peace of mind for 5 years (for the driver) and 7 years for the leds.

They were recently talking about how a lot of people over a period of years may start to experience major yield decreases due to damaged leds and can’t figure out why. Their lights are designed to last and not suffer from this problem which is big to a broke mofo like me lol.

There are some cool stuff out there, agnetix and some others but next go around I’m just going for something I can count on long term.

This is the one I’d like to get :

I know you didn’t say on a budget, but I noticed that Medicgrow has a 1000w light for $400 right now. I haven’t used them, but being on a budget consistently I would try them out

I got an ac infinity Evo10. and have a floraflex 700w. and a szhlux 500w. and finnchy 250w/125w. and… more.

I also have extra lighting. UVB T5’s, Reds/IR’s, UVA’s, 6500k shop lights along the side walls.

It’s been a large mix of stuff. lots of ‘free to review stuff’ some stuff i actually paid for. but not much. My phone died a couple weeks ago. so. i don’t have many pictures at the moment.

szhlux 500 left. ac infinity evo10 right. w/ the 11" full spec & 11" ionbeam UVA light bars on there.

Evo10 drivers mounted outside the room. Dropped temps by -5f degrees.

That looks a very good light thank you I shall look into this brand. Did you consider HLG? They seem a big company who I’d expect to honour warranties and stuff.

Recently snagged a mammoth 880w bar for like 730 on Black Friday haven’t ran it yet getting it setup for next cycle but seems to have good reviews they recently sold out but have pre order for the upgraded spectrum for like 850 if not needed right away one of the better par maps and seems to be a leader in the space right now

Apache 800w atv is a 800w led that’s priced nicely at 550 from a long standing American company in the led game
https://www.apachetechinc.com/products/atv-series/

Grandmaster led looked like a real solid option but a bit more pricey but seems to have one of the better par maps on the market

Fhose while doesn’t seem like the most honest company the Pisces doesn’t seem like a bad light for the money

If in a colder area or not worried about headspace or where heat isn’t so much of a issue hlg could be a solid option powerful lights tend to have light hotspots and run a bit warm though

How long do you run the UV bars?

The T5 10.0 UVB lights are week 6 flower. 5 mins every hour. 6 hours a day. not that much. just enough to trigger stuff.
The UVA lights are on with the Evo10 light. all on the same port/level. at a 4 now in veg. 40w uva fan-leaf lights are off til flower. then on/off for 2-3 days, and moved around, depending on plant colors. Red lights are on 15 mins after lights out. so i don’t get stuck in a corner in the dark.

UVA in veg makes them branch like crazy. good growth. enough to be trimming it back and tucking a nice canopy.

What is your reason for wanting to go higher wattage? Do you think you’ve fully maxed out your space with the 650w lights? What are your ceiling heights like? Or is this for a tent?

The reason I ask is that in my experience you really need to have a dialed in grow/environment to be able to use 1000 watts of LED light.

In my space, 600-650 watts is the max I can go and even at 650w I run into light stress issues at times.

I run PhotonTek x600 watt pro’s. I tested their x1000watt pro and it was way too much for my space, even at 3/4 power. They now only recommend that light for commercial growers or people using supplemental co2.

Same was true with the older HID lighting technology when 1000 watt double ended bulbs came out.
I tried to switch from single ended 1000’s to double ended and they were way too powerful for my grow space and ceiling heights.

Very interested in these myself when it’s time to replace my current lights. I love my PhotonTek’s but it pisses me off they don’t sell a 0-10v dimmer and you can’t use aftermarket ones because of the plug they use. I tried to reach out for help in DIYing one myself but they were no help. So f*** them. lol
I ain’t buying their $400 controller to dim 2 lights.

Did you get the mammoth lights with that added green spectrum? (the “emerald green” diodes)

That light looks nice!

How high can do you turn that up in a 4x4 tent?

Going to be running it in a 5x5 @Gmoney with a 4x4 bed of soil

Ah ok. Now I understand.

Yes, please do! Tag me in your thread if you remember.

I think for the price plus Hlg is great by standing behind what u pay for
The num on this light are almost identical as a Scorpion Diablo as far as intensity
