Bodhi Sativa Run - Purple Lemon Thai

Standing on a hill in the mountains of dreams…

This is my second grow and my second grow diary. I thought I’d start at the end.

I don’t think I had ever smoked any Thai variety in my 30 some years on earth. I bought this pack because I was looking for psychedelic effects and when it dropped, a lot of folks were talking about it.

Now back to the beginning…

I planted two PLTs and both ended up being female.
I also planted 3 watermelon hashplant x everything and 3 Kali Mist x Everything.
See KM x Everything diary here:

I will likely add to this journal later on in regards to PLT 2.

In my KM x Everything diary, you can see the mistakes I made so I won’t mention them here. I try to live by “live and learn” but life also seems to happen quite often.

I am writing this as a distraction to hearing the confirmation from our vet that our 13 yr old pit bull is nearing end of life.

She was a perfect sister to the dogs we fostered and as neurotic and silly as her dad.

Sorry, back to cannabis.

She started showing her colors around 20 days of flowering.

She was definitely one of the easier plants to take care of. She seemed happy with my half nutrient diet, but did show issues when dry backs and general negligence happened.

One thing I found interesting was that she seemed to lose her color for a couple weeks before it came back in full force.

I am very aware of the stress I caused during this grow but I welcome constructive criticisms. I am switching from the OF/HP/Perlite and salts to pre-made organic mix for my current round.

There is sorrow enough in the natural way
From men and women to fill our day;
And when we are certain of sorrow in store,
Why do we always arrange for more?
Brothers and sisters, I bid you beware
Of giving your heart to a dog to tear.

Buy a pup and your money will buy
Love unflinching that cannot lie–
Perfect passsion and worship fed
By a kick in the ribs or a pat on the head.
Nevertheless it is hardly fair
To risk your heart to a dog to tear.

When the fourteen years which Nature permits
Are closing in asthma, or tumour, or fits,
And the vet’s unspoken prescription runs
To lethal chambers or loaded guns,
Then you will find–it’s your own affair–
But … you’ve given your heart to a dog to tear.

When the body that lived at your single will,
With its whimper of welcome, is stilled (how still!)
When the spirit that answered your every mood
Is gone–wherever it goes–for good,
You will discover how much you care,
And will give your heart to a dog to tear.

We’ve sorrow enough in the natural way,
When it comes to burying Christian clay.
Our loves are not given, but only lent,
At compound interest of cent per cent.
Though it is not always the case, I believe,
That the longer we’ve kept 'em, the more do we grieve:
For, when debts are payable, right or wrong,
A short-term loan is as bad as a long–
So why in–Heaven (before we are there)
Should we give our hearts to a dog to tear?

LPT:
Don’t grow bagseed herms in a solo cup.

Took a bite of the cola and it was very spicy lol.

Pups mean a lot, did not mean to hijack…
Good luck with the Thai grow, love that kind of variety.
I remember the oldschool Thai stick…went green on that the first time I smoked.

Found a little purple sea horse trichome. Looks like a cross-eyed version of this guy:
noot noot

She started stacking up real nice…

I took her at about 12.5 weeks. She definitely could have gone more and I took her sister at 14 weeks.

Please don’t apologize. I appreciate your compassion. i know it is something most of us have dealt with and you sharing that will hopefully help more than just me.

As for the nose and smoke report:

She fucking stinks my brothers and sisters. I did not get the “human feces” smell that I have seen is common with some purple unicorn cultivars. In the curing bag, she smells of mothballs, sweet fruit, rotting fruit, and death. I have given a lot out and she appears to be the winner between the WHP and Kali Mist.

I am the worst to give smoke reports on but what I feel is a strong cerebral effect. Not crazy racey. She is a nice balance and the indica or broad leaf in her does hit hard after an hour or so. Less of a balance and more of an UP and then d o w n. But again I am the worst person to ask for a smoke report as I have a very sensitive pallet.

Telling myself its not as hard, hard, hard as it seems…

I took pollen from a kali mist x everything male (Pickle Rick/Don Pickles) that smelled unnervingly like garlic pickle and pollinated the PLT. I am no breeder and really not a great grower, but I love learning about genetics and breeding.

I got about 30 seeds off of this branch. I don’t know if its going in a freezer for ten years or if I will see whats in there. Right now, I plan to grow out some F2s of Sunshine Daydream and cross her to Super Silver Sour Diesel Haze. And then its a preservation project of Cocoon. Then a headband project…

Thanks y’all for your time. I really love the overgrow community and learn so much from here when compared to other communities.
