I apologize G-paS. I meant no disrespect at all. I am new to all this and the first two grows I tried, I got nanners. I believe that is where the problem was. I was mistaking nanners for hermaphrodites.
There is a difference right? Nanners are caused by stress in the environment and herms are caused by genetics if I read things correctly.
What you have done has been a hell of an undertaking and I’m happy that I was wrong in my thinking.

I have yet to find a strain that won’t herm under stress or light leaks and I grew my first crop in '83.

This is a strain I’ve wanted for the longest time, I’m stoked to have it @G-paS! I actually signed up for it.

This aversion to occasional late flower “nanners” is cutting off our nose to spite our face I feel. Even full on hermaphrodites only say to me the genetic pool is still deep, with many expressions possible.

Folk, please bring this back on track. There has been a lot of positivity in this thread until just recently. Would be a shame to have to close it. It’s much easier to let the water slide off the duck’s back.

Best advice I’ve heard in a long time :sunglasses:

Yeah, just share true experiences and be respectful that every one of us will have a different growing environment, level of expertise, and a good dose of “Murphy’s Law”.

No sense in bringing our penis’ into the conversation.

Not sure what it’s worth, but I have one Goji from @syzygy, and although I had to leave it unattended a good bit after my broken leg deal, but, no herms on mine, FWIW.

I had a plant from @SamwellBB’s seeds that was known for throwing nanners. I grew it and before I knew it I was stressing my whole grow because of the cold floor and roots did not like it.

I clipped all of the nanners that I could find one day, and it finished fine. I also grew a clone from the same plant outside in the spring and it never threw anything outside.

So, please keep it clean. We all have stress these days. Just respect each other and if needed, avoid them for a while. I’m sorry for not reading super far back. Let’s share our experiences without putting expectations onto others. peace :v: :man_farmer:

You chopped at Day 59? How were the trichs looking?

I’m at around day 64F of my 2 Goji F2s that came from Useful Seeds. No herms. Just big full buds.

Chopped the outdoor plants. Caterpillar forced chop. Can’t speak to trichs.

Looks beautiful. All the heated discussions have brought in some nice grow reports. :v:

I’ve removed some the heated discussion that was heading in the wrong direction and was tangential to the OP. Please keep the discourse on track. Constructive criticism is ok but elevating criticism to the point of encouraging harassment, attacks, and/or insults is not. The OP and the supporting folk have made a personal investment in this effort and have put in a lot of work. Rather not see this thread spoiled by bickering. Please keep that in mind.

I just found your grow log and info thread and man i am impressed with the details you share. I’m going to read through it when I have the time to really focus and give it the attention it deserves.

Whats the camera setup you used to capture that pic. I’m about to invest it a good camera so soliciting some advice and your pics of that goji look stellar.

hey man, I either shoot with a cellphone or an old dslr (canon 6d), most important thing is the lens tho (prime 50mm, or good quality zoom like a red ring series by Canon). You can find dslrs for cheap now (or buy a new mirrorless cameras - like the sony a7)

I have my eye on the sony mirrorless ones now. Thanks for the advice!

Reposting a few of these pictures from my thread but figured it may help demonstrate possible phenos found in Goji F2s as well as some information relating to the potential for intersex in the Goji OG line. Even though the parental stock of these F2s was different from the ones used in the co-op I imagine there will be a lot of phenotypic overlap regardless. Apologies for the dark pictures, I was still trying to figure out the camera when I took them…

There were 12 females, 4 were culled for nitrogen sensitivity / clawing and out of the 8 remaining only 1 ended up with a single nanner.

Pheno that had the single nanner on it

There were multiple power outages messing up the timer, the dark-cycle was interrupted a few times and there were a few other major stresses that took place during the run such as dehydration to the point of wilting. At least a few people have grown them out to harvest and I

haven’t heard any reports of intersex issues yet. That said I do have a different set of Goji F2s from 2017 that do throw nanners at a very high rate.

I think with any OG cross there is always a risk just like with GG4, cookies, sour diesel etc.

Agreed, great job @the_bot ! Also glad to hear you were able to get the issue figured out.
