Bodhi Seeds - Goji OG Crowd Source F2 Preservation (closed)

Looks like I’m the lucky guy that needs to squeeze out just a tad more space later…all 12 (yup 12) arrived and are beginning their soak.

you got 12 because Stankonia is about to be 21 years old.

So when they sprout you transfer them to solo cups or small pot? I’m gonna try it although I’ve been on a roll lately with sprouting. Good genetics help a lot!

Blessings…

Yes, once they tails start to grow into small pots they will go.

Hey all, will definitely be following along on this at the very least.

@The_Lazy_Hippie I’m sure you have a list of OG’ers in the waiting, but if you have any U.S grow space drop out of this effort, keep me in mind. I have a new tent going up later this week, and can’t think of a better way to throw myself into breeding and support the community at the same time!

He already sent all the packs out sweetie. Sorry :slightly_frowning_face: :worried:

I appreciate the offer my friend. Unfortunately all packs have been spoken for and mailed out.

All 11 have sprouted from the soil. Seems to be some strong shells, 6 of them still have seed hulls on. Leaving them in the humidity dome for today with some misting to hopefully get through the hulls. After that I’ll break out the pointy tweezers and help them along.

thats awesome!
i just checked mine. only one has broke soil and it is still in crookneck stage.
i guess i put mine a little deeper.

That was where I was last night. They look like they did OK with the surgery. @antheis let me know if you helmets fall off by themselves. I read somewhere someone plants them deeper and doesn’t have this issue.

the one that was just showing its crookneck is up and orientating its baby leaves no shell to be seen. a second is now in the breaking soil and i don’t expect it to have a shell either.

Yeah I’ve heard the same… I plant mine half an inch deep right after the taproot shows.
Surgery conducted, all but 1 are good to go. Hopefully that last one opens it a bit more… it’s a tight helmet right now

I have 10 of 11 up, of those 10, 9 had helmets on, some tough shells on these fer real

Mine were planted 1-1/4” deep, that didn’t seem to help get these caps off

I removed 5 helmets, so 6 are freed up, 4 will likely need some help still, and 1 no show yet.

Gave em all a peroxide mist to help soften em up

Edit: All 11 up, only one popped w/o a cap. So, after 10 surgeries, I think I killed one. I damaged a cotyledon on 2, but it’s looking like 10 survivors at this point.

I had nine out of eleven crack and put out a tail. Seven had helmets (1 came out of the soil). I was able to remove them but, on one I tore the one Cotyledon a little. It will be slower but, you never know…

I had added more soil yesterday. They did a stretch again last night.

eugh.
this is becoming a zen exercise where my mantra is ‘trust the seed. worry is fear. fear is the seedkiller.’
i am not doing that well. i only have two up - they look great no helmets, not stretching too bad, and the cotyledon are open and true leaves are starting.
yesterday my worry got the best of me and i lightly scraped one puck to see how it looked. i got down to a sprouted seed and bright white tap root so i covered it up and left it alone.

i am happy that @ramblinrose @g-pas and @catapult are doing well. i look forward to see how we all do.

I had 11 out of 12 taproots appear while still in the bowl so i just put all 12 in peat pellets. So far 2 have breached the surface. I’ll take a picture in a min when I get home.

@antheis I’ve done “the peek” many times!

Time to check the post office haha. Been getting real friendly with the mail lady seeing her every day

Edit: almost as good as seeds. New prescription for 20g/day came in = higher plant count lol
