I chucked the JPS PurpleRhino in some dirt after soak. Again a flawless launch, 5 different strains from 5 different sources that all worked as they should. I can only come to one conclusion… the SeedsHereNow BOG seeds were not viable, growable or worth the $156 paid for them. SHN is no longer a resource for seeds of any kind for me.
What are the ones that are dumped over in the top pic? That kinda scared me… for a second I thought you might be reporting a disaster. Yeah I think that’s really strange on the germ rates for the BOG seeds from SHN, that sucks.

I keep seeing that seedlings and babies like a pH around 5.7-5.9 for a better calcium uptake. I was really struggling with seedlings, the biggest help for me was the get a tray for seedlings to wick the water up, and to use distilled water until past the seedling stage.
@buckaroobonsai those seedlings are JPS purple rhino, thing got crazy during the hurricane and I had already soaked the seeds and didn’t have time to put them in started plugs properly. Dumped them in a cup with soil and because they are viable seeds they did their own thing. All separated now and singular planted. In case no one else tells you today… you are awesome!
