Built ScrOG Screen without thinking...Need advice

The angle of the stem wont hurt anything.

Lighter color on the new growth is normal, especially if it is growing rapidly.

Yep looks great, you’ll see those new leaves fatten and darken up over the next couple days. Keep on keepin on!

Finally re-potted last night and put in the netting. Posting some pics to show what happened and see if I am doing it right. Should it take everything below the netting out? There are some pretty hefty limbs going up to the netting. They will be flipped as soon as I know they have recovered from transplanting.

This is what they looked like before I re-potted them.

Some photos of the roots. They look like they were definitely root bound to me.

Finally, a couple of shot after pe-potting and adding in the netting.

Some people strip everything under the screen all at once, I do a bit here and there. Anything that’s blatantly not getting any light, or blocking airflow under the canopy goes. Usually a couple handfuls of leaves a day kinda thing.

Those will still open up alot as you train them out, so some of that bottom/middle stuff could still end up being canopy stuff if that makes sense lol

@beacher, I think i get what you said. That’s kinda what I was thinking. It seemed a little drastic to take it all at once. I can only imagine how much growth will be above the netting.

Some of the branches that aren’t quite to the netting are as big around as a pencil. I I understand correctly, I will get rid of the lower growth on them once they reach up through the net. Since I was using LST, four of the six plants weren’t as tall as the netting. The other two are a different variety and seem to grow taller faster.

This is the first time I FIM’d or LST’d so all new territory for me.

Thanks for your help!

Ya you’re sort of opening the plant up like a chalice as you train bigger main branches outwards, then the middle stuff fills in the cup part. I definitely wouldn’t be cutting anything pencil sized, that sounds ideal!

You could put the shorter plants up on wood or whatever to level the playing field a bit too

Some good & some bad… Been busy lately trying to set up surgery on my neck. Found out I have severe spinal stenosis that could end up in paralysis.

Had to go out of town for a week and left the plants and clones for the wife to watch. She forgot about the clones. Plants are doing great but I need to get some advice on the clones. Everything above the ground looks horrible but the roots are still alkve. Is it worth trying to save these? Not sure how to proceed. Took a few more clones from the girls who are in their 8th week now, just in case. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,
SkyDog

Below are the plants today. Big change from last photo posted above.

Oh no. All you can really do with the clones is give em some loving and hope for the best. Maybe plant them in some solo cups or whatever and give them some low strength (50%) veg nutes and see if any take.

Week 12 update. Clones were lost but I managed to propogate a few from the flowering plants. They are going good right now and almost ready to transplant to 1 gal containers.

My spinal fusion operation was 8 days ago and things are progressing nicely with the recovery.

Girls in scrog net are going into their last couple weeks. Trichomes are clear to partly cloudy right now so have more time to go. Weight of buds is causing some branches to lean over. Got some on yo-yo’s which are working great. Below are some photos taken a few minutes ago.

Here are the clones. These were pulled from mom’s in 5th week of flower so they took a while to get going. Do they look ready for transplant to you folks?

Clones look good, they can definitely stay in those cups for a while yet. Probably a week or two before they’re too crammed in there.

Took a few photos today. Getting close to harvest. Some of the small leaves in the buds are starting to get dry tips on them. I’ve never seen that before but may be due to some watering issues I had over the last month or so after my surgery.

Trichs not turning amber yet but expecting to see that any day. The Black x Champagne buds are a lot drier feeling than the Space.U buds right now too so I’ll keep an eye on them.

Sorry for the delays in getting back to this thread. This neck surgery got me down for awhile. Ended up with 26 jars of finished crop. Phone I was taking photos with took a crap on me. Been trying to get it back to no avail. Here’s what’s curing now.
