Canadian Cannabis Act / ACMPR license Q and A

Hellth Canaduh should have clamped down on high g/day rates way back at the beginning so having them finally get a clue is pretty understandable.

I’ve been getting a med permit from my doctor for about 8 years now but have never filed to grow. I did have 12g/day but this year had it lowered to 8 because I heard about them clamping down. 8g/day was what my original one was that I got thru a doctor in Vernon, BC while out on a visit then the next year my local doc agreed to sign for me after turning me down years before. He has since moved to BC but still fills out the form for both the wife and myself.

I don’t plan on registering to grow but want that paper so if I do get busted it will hopefully help in court tho after 22 years of growing since my move to northern Alberta in '01 I’m not too worried about getting busted. I plan to grow opium poppies outdoors next summer as the hemp farms in the area have slammed the door on growing pot outside or even having flowering plants indoors during hemp season.

If the conservatives get back in you can bet they will try to remove home growing rec pot and may even go after med grows with a lot more vigour as well.

:peace:

That’s why we have to get everybody and everyone growing before that happens. Mass disobedience if they tried…this genie is NOT going back in the bottle.

There are plenty of reasons for high plant counts , just because 12g a day works for you dose not mean it works for everyone. My license is a large one but I only ever flower 30-40 small plants, but I also want to stay on the right side of the law , if I plant 100 seeds it goes against my count , add 100 cuts and it goes against my count , my moms go against my count and any plant in veg goes against my count so it is why I like the high count license. If Health Canada made the grams per day go against only what was in flower I would be around 8g per day…. That would make more sense

Got approval 20g in 6 weeks from submit. The vetting from the GYO med tech was a little more stringent this year. I agree plant count is the wrong way, canopy size is better IMO. as for high counts…I’m no expert, yeah I can grow, but outdoor an indoor can sustain crop failure very easily. We lost almost all of 2020 outdoor to rot and I had to shut down indoors for 6 months after giving up the fight against thrips. We need leeway for these things and effective cultivar selecting. We are not the Black Market. I’m not opposed to inspections with high counts, but their has to be a point with this other than choking us all off gram by gram. Wanna shut down your profit threat??? First Nations and their ‘indigenous’ supply chain…I hear a Harley or two…but naw that’s politics right? Cheers

interesting isnt it! as we manufacture our own medicine! your doctors normally can see everything on a physicians network . so from any doctor you visit, they can typically see all your current prescriptions .

makes me curious to ask my doctor if he can see it next time i visit.

my cannabis prescription is from a registered nurse in Alberta i think , and then approved by HC to produce myself@

and maybe where its not logged by a pharmacy network, they cant see it, as its not like anyone is double doctoring cannabis scripts lol

I know for sure my previous doctor, and my current doctor, and my specialists, would say something if they knew.
I am going through all kinds of tests right now, they know nothing of cannabis. Otherwise they would for sure blame all my problems on it I am sure, as it is still a taboo thing for many doctors.
